We were wandering the streets of Cloudcroft “after hours” and came upon this little bakery-art gallery-coffee shop, which was open. It’s a beautiful, friendly, totally original spot. And the baked goods are scrumptious! The young man behind the counter was so helpful – we really felt lucky for having stumbled across this business.

Very friendly staff and all their baked goods looked very delicious. They have various coffee and tea drinks, cold or hot, as well as milkshakes. Inside the bakery are a few items for sale from various local artists. Their baked goods and treats change with the seasons and holidays so be sure to check them out regularly. Also, the service is above and beyond. Super friendly and fast.
They have sitting inside and they offer free WiFi.
My favorite item here is their Rose Tea which has edible glitter in it! It’s delicious and it’s beautiful to look at! Some of their cupcakes also have glitter on them and they look magical!

I highly recommend they did a great job making 100 Cup cakes with 5 different flavors and came out beautiful. They were a frat hit at my Grandmothers departure service yesterday. The complexity of each handmade treat the team of family members are creating, are little slices of heaven at Eight the Cake in Cloudcroft, NM. The ambiance is fantastic, the space is surrounded by art pieces and sculptures from local artist in New Mexico to look at and/or purchase and enjoy at home (see photos).

Cloudcroft…. The fantastic cinnamon roll capitol of the world. One of two places on this side of Burro Street, that you can get the best cinnamon roll you ever had. Everything here is art.

Place is very chill, the art invites you to sit down and take a break. The service was courteous and fast. However, the prices were a bit ridiculous. $25 dlls (including tip) for two small coffees, a cheesecake and a cupcake. Quick and nice stop if you don’t care about the price.

Eight the Cake is a must-visit in Cloudcroft! Our family of four loved the delicious cupcakes, cake pops, and coffee—they were all fresh and full of flavor. The shop also has plenty of fun and unique souvenirs, perfect if you’re shopping for yourself or a hipster friend.
