Hu Tieu Mom on West Broadway is such a welcome addition to the neighborhood. We stopped by recently and tried the Bún Bò Huế, Phở Đặc Biệt, and spring rolls, and honestly everything ,was delicious. The pho broth was rich, ,aromatic, and well balanced, with generous portions of meat and perfectly cooked noodles. It’s easily one of the best pho bowls in the area, especially if you don’t want to travel far for a really satisfying Vietnamese meal.
The Bún Bò Huế was another standout—flavorful, slightly spicy, and full of depth, with that signature lemongrass aroma that makes the dish so comforting. The spring rolls were fresh and light, packed nicely with herbs and served with a tasty dipping sauce that complemented them well. We also ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee, which was strong, smooth, and not overly sweet—perfect to finish the meal.
Overall, the food quality is excellent, portions are generous, and it’s super convenient to have a spot like this on West Broadway. Really glad they’re here, and this will definitely be a regular pho stop for us. Highly recommended if you’re craving comforting, well-made Vietnamese food.

The beef rib vermicelli has a rich, comforting taste, and the meat is cooked until very tender. The flavors feel balanced and not too heavy. The chicken vermicelli with spring rolls is light and refreshing, with well-seasoned chicken and nicely crispy spring rolls. The fresh herbs and noodles bring everything together. Both dishes feel well made and enjoyable to eat.

I had such a great experience at Hu Tieu Mom. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. The food was delicious — every dish was fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. Portions were generous and the prices felt fair for the quality. I’ve been there on their opening days so I had an extra 10% off too.
I especially loved the House Special Mixed Noodle, it was cooked perfectly. Definitely a spot I’ll recommend to friends and family, and I’ll be coming back again soon!

I ducked in here still hungry after a long day … not a bad idea after a Cold Plunge in the neighbourhood (Not a bad idea, really, maybe i was dehydrated?) And im, Frankly, glad i did. I am always looking for Bun Rien (Dill Crab Soup, which they didnt have), but the Lemomgrass Pho was fantastic… great, flavourful broth, nice.big chunks of chicken thigh cooked perfectly — all in all, a great bowl of soup and a good dinner. The salad rolls were very fresh, too… glad i followed my fancy and found this place ✨️ ✨️

The chicken salad roll was well balanced, not just all noodles like most places.
Hu tieu & hu tieu co were good! Not mind blowing. Broth was clear and clean & the sry mix was tasty, add the chilli oil for more flavour!
Spring roll was on the skinnier and longer side, you get two! Its good.
Overall, it’s better than what was there previously, don’t expect it to blow your taste buds out the water. You get what you pay for and without feeling too salted out. They’ve stuck to the classics, kept it simple and clean.

I was excited to see the old Pho Extreme spot turn into a new Vietnamese joint! Popped in during their soft opening and tried the Bun Bo Hue and the house special dry Hu Tieu – both were delicious and clearly made with love and care. Service was friendly and attentive. Love supporting a true mom-and-pop shop and I hope they do really well!

Came here for a quick lunch and ordered Bon Bo Hue. Upon first look, the pho looks great and the ingredients appear to be fresh, however, as I was putting the basil in, I noticed that there are still bugs left on one of the leaf. The taste of the pho is decent, but if you want to stay in business, I’d say pay more attention to washing the veggies thoroughly.

I came across Hu Tieu Mom restaurant after an appointment I had and found out that it was their opening day! I was hunting for some comfort food and WOW did I find it! I had the spicy beef noodle soup and it was delicious. The broth was so rich and full of flavour that I asked the VERY SWEET woman who worked there how long they cook the broth, to find out that it is a 24 hour process. Not only were the portion sizes generous (we had to bring home the rest) but you really do feel like you walked into a welcoming mother’s kitchen. We will definitely be back!

Ordered the house special and it was average for the price. The broth was too salty and the pork too fatty for my taste. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice.

My go-to dish at a vietnamese restaurant is always Bun Bo Hue, but I was feeling adventurous and ordered the Hu Tieu (dry version) instead. I’m happy I did as it did NOT disappoint! It came with a side of soup, which reminded me of homecooked broth. The quail eggs were a nice addition my kiddo enjoyed.
They are running a soft opening promo now – 10% off! The server mentioned they are having a grand opening special on Friday Oct 17 and Sat Oct 18 – buy one pho and get the second one for almost half off ($10)! I’ll visit again to try the pho and BBH 🙂
