Specifically went for Friday night prime rib. Advertised as “smoked”
I was somewhat nervous because not a big smoked meat person. If this is what smoked prime rib should taste like, let me say I’m a lover of smoked prime rib! It was seasoned great and cooked perfectly.
The staff was friendly and atmosphere fine. Felt we were at a true local favorite!
Watching the kitchen staff take pride with what was going out to tables was refreshing.
Thank you for a delicious prime rib dinner! Will be back!!

The palm uses toast and toast local for online ordering for food and they do not accept orders over the phone and 9/10 times I try to order ahead I have issues and can’t get my order placed when there wasn’t any issue on my end.. I often get the order in and go to pay for it only for it to pop up an unknown error message telling my order wasn’t successful and then see a charge on my account for the amount of the order that supposedly wasn’t successful.. fortunately this specific problem only happened once and I live close enough to drive down and inquire about the status of the order without too much hassle.. but trying to get someone on the phone to check on an order status is a waste of time from my experiences. There have been times (more often than not) that I was having problems ordering online and ended up taking my business elsewhere due to not being able to get anyone to answer the phone and/or take my order over the phone.
In person experience here.. drinks are usually great.. service is usually fast and friendly as long as there’s no more than 10 or 15 customers and food (especially the onion rings) is great. I didn’t particularly care for their prime rib dip sandwich but other than that, the food is great!
If u are able to make it in on the Friday and Saturday nights when Q’s karaoke is happening.. its busy and sometimes more difficult to get service, but a great time is had by all!

First In would like to say this place overall is awesome, cold beer, good drinks reasonable prices and the list goes on. I used to go in there a lot since I live here in Benton City, this was about 5 years ago. But I quit going over comments made to me by some of the waitresses, but some of the waitresses are very nice also. Then a nice lady at Benton REA (before she retired) told me her brothers in laws owned it and I should give it another try. So I have been back twice for lunch, but once again quit going after comments by a couple waitresses. This is where the problem is, I don’t like my back exposed to the entire bar. After 20 years on active duty in the Army and 25 years in Law enforcement, I refuse to have my back exposed, so usually sit at one of the round tables by the street. Many times others have come to sit with me and that is fine.
But, some of the waitresses make rude comments about me sitting at a big table by myself, anybody is welcome to sit with me and that is fine. So, after trying to come back once again, after two times and 2 waitresses once again making comments about me sitting there, I am not sure I want to ever come back or would ever recommend to people I know. The last time the waitresses told me she would normally ask me to move to another table, but since it was not too busy I could sit there, now mind you this was about 1400hrs in the middle of the week, very few people were in there. This has been a pattern with several of the waitresses, but my appreciation goes out to the few who have been nice to me.
I should not be judged in such a manner, when they don’t know my story or back round. I am sorry because I have issues with my back being exposed, But not everyone has spent 20 years active duty military and 25 years in Law enforcement.

It’s a small town through down bar n grill. Was there on a Halloween costume party n kareoke night. There did seem to be quite a few LOCALS there was Ricky Bobby an all his fans, NASA-Was in the house, Lion, Tin-man an WW of the West, Red Ridin’hood, The local PD, Ragidy Anne n Andy an they were kissin, skeltor, a pig farmer w/ a Daisy Duke lookin kinda daughter, and a sheep herder, but who’s to say,? There had to been a few in towers there. Kareoke was well hosted, good sound system.

Came in for a local persons birthday party, obviously no reservations but amazingly this “Tavern” will reserve a table. 10+ people, eating and drinking and not a bad experience among us. Could prices be lower? Absolutely, but I expect to pay more for an incredible experience. The “Palm” is my hometown bar and will be for as long as I can walk in. There’s been 3 different owners in my almost 30 years of going there, the current owners have made subtle changes and all for the positive while keeping the small, hometown bar feel. Kid friendly until 9pm, Great job!
