One my long-standing faves— San Luis Taqueria! From day one, it’s felt like family—an extension of home for my husband and I. Familiar faces, consistently tasty food, and a space that’s always clean (which really matters). We’ve been coming here since the day it opened, and the fact that it survived COVID and is still standing says everything.
The burritos are gigantic and somehow filling without being heavy, and the beans are made without lard (a win). lots of veggie options! It’s the kind of Mexican food that fuels you rather than knocks you out.
Portions are generous for the price. It’s one of those places where you leave full, happy, and wondering how it costs what it does. Affordable, reliable, and always a solid choice. Highly recommend. We love the staff!!

I’m torn on this one. On one hand, the crispy tacos are absolutely incredible, easily some of the best I’ve had. However, the rest of the experience leaves a bit to be desired. The customer service felt a little indifferent, and the dining area definitely needs a deep scrub; the walls and surfaces didn’t feel the cleanest.
The biggest hurdle is the payment situation: they only accept Cash, Venmo, or Zelle. It’s a bit of an inconvenience in 2026. This place has so much potential because the food is great, but they really need to step up the service and cleanliness to match the quality of the kitchen

Best Taqueria in all of San Luis Obispo hands-down! Food is always excellent. Could say enough about it. I’d give them 10 stars if it was available.

It was my birthday and I was looking forward to order some good food to end off the night from my favorite spot on Friday February 27th at 9:18 when the gentlemen that assisted me bluntly said he’ll be right with me. I proceeded to wait patiently not minding the wait, for then to have to wait for 12 minutes, with no response and even heard him talking up the women at the register and even congratulated them for it being their birthday surprisingly which was even crazier. I then hear an employee in the back ask the guy who assisted me if I had hung up yet and he answered no. I thought he was finishing ringing up some customers as he was giving them extra great customer service but we then heard the restaurant go silent and still no response. Super disappointed and honestly past it but you could’ve just said you’re not accepting pickup orders at the moment if you didn’t wanna do your job that badly.

Best breakfast burrito in town. Served all day. I always come here for a quick to go order before the beach. Takes 10 min or less to get my order EVERY TIME. They are so fast! And their salsa’s are my favorite.

This place is very consistent, with great food for the price. Reasonable prices for the quality. Super Burritos are on-point. Friendly, consistent service. It’s also nice to have the bar to sit at if you’re solo, but it can be a bit cramped if there’s a line at the register. My suggestion is get it to go and cross the street and eat at one of the many tables in the mission plaza.

The soft tacos were super moist and packed with great flavour. Only thing is (and important to note), the tacos fall apart pretty easily, which I guess is why they give you a fork

They gave us the wrong order and forgot to include chips in the bag after I asked twice. Salsa was mid. They also asked to have pay over Venmo which was inconvenient. Pollo asada burrito was pretty good though.
