Hands down, this is one of the best hidden gems in Rockwall!!
The food is consistently delightful & the staff is always friendly. They have become a monthly treat for my family & I. The only reason this isn’t 5 stars is because the cleanliness of the restaurant can be improved. Thank you for always filling my tummy with delicious food!

Great place!! The service is always so attentive and kind. The food is INCREDIBLE! Our favorite Indian spot because of the wonderful taste and quality and on top of that, they seem to consistently bring out the best of the flavor without relying on leaving everything soaked in oil/fat/butter. I appreciate how easy it is to change the level of spiciness and they’re always generous with their portions.

The samosas were probably the best I’ve ever had between Texas and California. They sprinkled a spice and salt mixture on top of each samosa and it just made it that much more delicious. I tried their vegetables samosas, and their chicken tikka masala with a spice level of 5 out of 10. 5 out of 10 is has a kick but I wouldn’t necessarily call it spicy, of course everybody has their own gradient when it comes to spiciness. The naan was very delicious of course, the tikka marsala sauce was very good and they gave me plenty of it, with a lot of chicken pieces inside. The inside atmosphere is comfortable, it’s booths and tables, or you can walk up to the counter and order. I did see two parties sitting at a table and being served. Watch out for their hours as they do close after lunch and before dinner but their dinner hours are 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. during the week, lunch was around 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. I wouldn’t mind coming and trying something new. They even offer sodas for only $1.50.

Ambiance & Service

The bistro’s cozy atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between casual and refined. Staff members are warm and knowledgeable, happy to guide you through the menu or suggest customizations. Your order is prepared fresh, made to order, and arrives piping hot every time.

Menu & Variety

• Clearly separated vegetarian and non-vegetarian sections
• Wide selection of appetizers, mains, and desserts
• Specialty teas and refreshing beverages

This layout ensures everyone at the table can find something they love without wading through options that don’t suit their diet.

Dishes I Tried

1. Samosas
Crisp pastry pockets filled with spiced potatoes and peas, served with tangy tamarind chutney.
2. Goat Curry
Tender, melt-in-your-mouth goat simmered in a rich, aromatic gravy that strikes the perfect balance of heat and fragrance.
3. Biryani
Fragrant basmati rice layered with succulent meat, saffron, and toasted spices—each bite bursting with flavor.
4. Gulab Jamun
Soft, syrup-soaked dough balls with just the right sweetness to round out a savory feast.
5. Chai Tea
Creamy, spiced, and comforting—the ideal finale to an indulgent meal.

Highlights

• Everything is made to order and served hot
• Generous portions ensure you leave satisfied (and often with leftovers)
• Friendly, attentive staff who guide you through the menu
• Clear menu layout catering to diverse dietary preferences

Final Verdict

Really good no frills Indian food that tastes like something you would be eating at home that your Indian grandma made. I really enjoyed the chili chicken and the goat curry was really good. No bonus the sparse decor and the naan with the lunch special was a little cold. Overall highly recommended.

I am a fan of Indian food. I was a little hesitant to go in because of the mixed reviews…
Food was …bland.
Chicken tasted old, riata needed salt…tasted diluted . Yuck.
Was not impressed.

I did enjoy the Gulab Jamun. 🙂

Modest place that covers the basic North Indian staples. Good for those wanting a quick takeaway on their way home.

Spice levels can be customized upon request.

There are three lunch combos each with an incremental overladen serving spoon.

The term Bistro is probably a nod to some socio-economic group but has no relevance to an authentic use of the term.
