I had a very disappointing experience with the Ormond Beach location.
I attempted to place a prepaid delivery order (one pizza and one soda) while staying at a nearby hotel. The store refused the order solely because the delivery address was a hotel. I was told this was due to concerns about customers canceling credit cards after receiving food.
I spoke with a manager who stated she consulted with the owner, and the refusal of service was agreed upon at the ownership level — despite valid payment being offered and no effort made to verify payment or provide an alternative solution.
Denying service based solely on lodging type reflects poor judgment and raises serious concerns about discriminatory business practices. I would welcome clarification from ownership or corporate leadership regarding whether this is an official company policy.

I have loved Five Star for at least 5 years when “BILLY” was the store manager; always SO kind & courteous, always greeted customers & took care of customers the right way. This kind of customer care is RARE & now that I was told he is no longer at the Ormond Beach store, was not only a disappointment but the pizza is just not the same. One day a young girl happen to make my small pie but it was totally different than I am use to, just sloppy & when I asked if it could be done nicer, there was absolutely no common courtesy & when I only asked if the boss was there (only to explain how I like it, thinking it wb “Billy”), the young guy there now just DID NOT CARE to make it right nor did he care if I gave return business! And I was not complaining in an angry way & was not critical of the young, inexperienced girl, only to try & see if he had any common sense to just offer to make another small, personal size & upgrade out of courtesy for the inconvenience & dissatisfaction, but he did not care with a cold look!

Wow, and that was without incident too! What can I say with this when someone just does not give a hoot!
Just “flat-liner experience”, so, no problem….guess that will be the last because a really great small-business owner pizza place opened across the street & also offers “slices” but I know the owners from Ormond-by-the-Sea & SO GLAD he opened in Big Lots center across the way & is called “Grandpa’s” everyone! The outgoing menu has nice coupon deals on front during the week & his slices are only $2.50 & GOOD
He is top quality, real pizza & I encourage anyone to try it!

For sure good pizza. I got a large pepperoni with extra cheese and some cinnamon rolls. The pizza is a little heavier crust than other pizzas and very filling. Thought that was great and the toppings are quality. The cinnamon rolls came with plenty of icing and were SO GOOD! Price a little higher than I hoped to pay but delicious food! Will order again!

I rate them a 5star because the pizza was very good… nice and hot with delivery too! defiantly satisfied my pizza craving!! The desserts weren’t my favorite the cinnamon rolls seemed hard on top but a good flavor and the brownies are the very cake like type that I just prefer the chewy kind so it’s preference.

came in new years eve and this place was opened. not only that but i liked that we met the owner that was grinding with the team. the place is super clean and organized. we are new to the area and stumbled upon this place through google reviews. this will now be our new pizza spot and they take AMERICAN EXPRESS!!!! Every time we order something from Five Star, everything has been wonderful. We just got a Christmas card with a $12 gift card in it, which was very surprising and very thoughtful of everybody that works there.
