Jackman & Co. is a tavern-first restaurant rooted in the legacy of the gastropub. Here, cooking starts from scratch and pulls from far and wide — French fundamentals, Indian depth, British comfort — all with a distinctly Midwestern soul.
Our drinks are as considered as our food: a bar program built on balance, craft, and a bit of good cheer. Whether you’re raising a pint, passing plates, or lingering over a meal, Jackman & Co. brings substance and soul to the table — every time.

Went to Jackman & Co. for an incredible Valentine’s Day dinner with my fiance! We were both extremely impressed by the ambiance and design of the restaurant, the attentiveness of the server, and the amazing food. We started with the Valentine’s Day special appetizer of burrata and apricot with sourdough bread – and I absolutely hope they make this a permanent appetizer because it was fantastic! I could have eaten the entire loaf of sourdough on my own. A perfect mix of sweet and savory. For entrees, I had the tandoori chicken skewers. I loved the roti bread! And truly the star of the show for us were the Brussels sprouts. These were the absolute best Brussels sprouts I have ever had from a restaurant, and would come back just for this dish! We finished with the warm apple crumble, I loved the addition of walnuts and high quality ice cream. Overall, I cannot wait to come back to Jackman & Co. definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Glenview! If you take away anything from this review – please order the Brussels sprouts!

It’s clear that Jackman and Co. is very popular amongst the locals, but I’m unsure if that praise is from those who are sober enough to recognize subpar service in a fine dining establishment. I want to caveat this review with the notion that I fully understand that we came on a Saturday night (a night when business is the norm) and we came during what we learned was a huge party that spanned multiple tables. That being said, it would behoove management to plan ahead and ensure that there is enough staff to accommodate a larger than normal demand.
Let’s get to it:
Service was abysmal for a restaurant of this quality. After being seated (we had a reservation, by the way), it took 10 minutes for us to be recognized by the waitress despite other tables having the full and undivided attention of multiple wait staff. Once we ordered drinks and a starter, it took a whopping 40 minutes for the bacon wrapped dates to be brought to our table. The waitress (who was clearly overwhelmed by the demands of the other high-paying tables) was surprised that we hadn’t been served our app yet; once she brought it out, we were immensely disappointed by it being lukewarm.
The main courses were fantastic, though. Definitely worth the price tag. It was relieving to see that they were brought out within 20-30 minutes (on par for what we would expect).
I want to give this place a chance, but I’m not confident that management has things under control and planned ahead to ensure that quality of service is on par with the establishment’s price point. If you’re wanting to go to a fine dining place such as this, consider Foxtail on the Lake or Wildfire. You’ll get far better service.

Beautiful ambiance and satisfactory service
Would like to come back and give other menus items a try. Most of the items we ordered was good, some was not good at all.
Pros: burger, fish & chips, red curry prawns, brussel sprouts
Cons: lobster risotto, Swedish meatballs and the most disappointing sticky toffee date cake ever.

This was our first time at Jackman, we sat outside on the patio on a perfect Autumn day. We ordered several small plate and two large plates. Everything we ordered was very good but the Brussels were fantastic. We definitely would recommend ordering them for the table or maybe ordering two for the table when you stop by.

Another hit by ballyhoo. The room is well-constructed and feels open but yet hums. Interactive service as we went through cocktails and wine recommendations. Beet salad, duck confit tacos, short rib and marrow pie were hits, along with date pudding and butterscotch pudding. We’ll be back.

Great addition to glenview, delicious food and wonderful service! Loved the flat iron steak, Brussels, chips and dip, burger, duck confit tacos and frozen mud pie! Will definitely be back to try other items!

Exceptional food, service, and atmosphere. Old school 60s vibe brought up to modern standards. A solid variety of flavors on the menu, nothing I tried was nothing short of great. While not exactly cheap, the service makes you feel like you’re at a high end steakhouse. Their happy hour prices are extremely fair and let us get a bigger variety of apps. Special shout out to their milk bread croutons in the Little Gem Green Goddess salad, one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. Pictured: Lamb Shepherds Pie (special) Pecan-Crusted Hake.

Had dinner here last night. Since it’s a British-style spot, I wasn’t expecting too much at first, but I figured it might have an American twist—and it actually turned out really good. Most of the food was solid, and the fish and chips were the star. Honestly, it was even better than the Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips I had in Vegas.
If I could make one suggestion, I wish there were a few more dipping sauce options for the fish and chips. Other than that, everything was on point. The server was super friendly, the food came out fast, and the vibe was great.
It was my first visit, but I’m already planning to come back and try more dishes. Really glad this place opened in Glenview. Yard House better watch out.

Loved our dinner here. All of the staff was fantastic and we felt cared for but not bothered. The food was delicious (special callout to the short rib agnolotti). We got the cheddar puffs snack and the red currant jam did not disappoint. The duck confit tacos were super flavorful. The short rib agnolotti was perfection. Cherries Jubilee was well balanced and plenty of cherries. The sticky toffee pudding was on the authentic treacle-y side, not very sweet. (If I ordered it again I would ask for the vanilla ice cream instead of buttermilk to add a hint of sweetness). A lovely night out and can’t wait to go again!
