Went this past Thursday everything took forever, food was freezing after the long wait. It was very loud. It felt more like a bar than a restaurant. The waitress seemed like she was the cook, bartender and waitress. Horrible service, horrible experience all together. It was $160 plus for cold nasty food. Nothing tasted right. The gyro meat tasted spicy. The spinach pie tasted like the used pancake batter. The lemon soup was a mush, not a soup. We use to go a lot here on Thursday and the food was served hot and good. It definitely went downhill. We will not be returning to this place ever again. The waitress didn’t even ask if everything was fine. She didn’t ask us if we needed refills. She seemed as if she didn’t even care. She acted like she didn’t even want to he there. Worse waitress so far. And we go to different places to eat lot. This place is definitely the worse so far. Not worth the wait. Not worth the money.

I love Barunis servers and bartenders. They are attentive, professional, kind and always on top of their game. Sometimes it gets busy. That’s a GOOD thing!!! To the person who slammed the waitress in the last review. Shame on you. I witnessed you dominating her time. She had other patrons with apparently more patience than you. If you want fast food/-go to McDonald’s. Apparently you prefer that cuisine to authentic chef prepared food. I’m not even going to comment about your food review. But I personally think you had an agenda to slam this restaurant.

I heard about this place from one of the guys who works for me. He ranted & raved about how good the food was here. Well little does he know…I’m a damn foodie! So I had my two teenage sons with me & we stopped in here after getting denied at Talerico’s because the kids weren’t old enough to eat there? Idk about that because I remember eating & seeing a bunch of kids who use to eat at the Midway down in Potter twp before it got knocked down to build Shell. So I think that they’re just being difficult. Anyways that gave us a reason to try Ba’Runi & Grille. We were met with a friendly bartender/waitress. She told us “Talerico’s sucks anyways” after I complained about trying to eat there & we got booted out. My 16yr old son who’s a rapper btw “See-Money” (Check him out on Tik-Tok, IG & YouTube @seemoneyofficial) he ordered a steak salad. My 13yr old son who’s another rapper goes by the name “Baby Gangsta” (Check him out on Tik-Tok, IG & YouTube @babygangstaofficial) he ordered ranch wings. He asked if they had a “dry ranch” but the waitress said unfortunately all they have is a wet ranch. He still ordered them anyways. I asked smiles what she would suggest between the meatloaf or pot roast? She replied “meatloaf definitely” I took her suggestion & ordered the meatloaf. I also grabbed an order of grape leaves for an appetizer. We all ordered Shirley Temples to drink. I asked for a shot of vodka in mine The grape leaves came out pretty quickly. The were definitely fresh & warm. Personally, I like cold grape leaves so I didn’t think much about it whenever I was ordering to ask if they were cold or hot? But I crushed almost all them except for maybe two remaining. Baby G even tried one & enjoyed it & he don’t even eat stuff like that because he’s SUPER PICKY! Next came our entrees. See-Money’s steak salad was HUGE! It was piled high with sizzling sirloin steak just like description stated. The hard-boiled eggs & french fries were perfect! I immediately dipped my fork right in to give it a try & I’d have to say their steak salad is a definitely ABOVE AVERAGE Baby G was surprised to see that they actually accommodated him & made his wings with a “dry ranch” instead of wet ranch. He was SUPER happy they did this for him btw. This was REALLY cool on behalf of the kitchen staff to do something original & out of the norm against the program. He absolutely LOVED the wings! They were crispy & made to PERFECTION! He ate every single wing he got & said they were …I dug into the meatloaf & man was it seriously some of the BEST meatloaf I’ve ever had next to my own (Sorry but I cook a killer meatloaf) The meatloaf was moist & NOT dry at all. The worse is whenever you get meatloaf out & it’s dry…Yuck! This definitely was NOT a dry a meatloaf. The serving size was nice & large too. I actually had leftovers that I took home. The ONLY issue I had with my food here & this is WHY I can ONLY give them a 3 star & not a 4 star. Is because I found a damn long, black hair in my mashed potatoes after I finished off 3/4 my meal. This definitely grossed me out. I didn’t say anything to my boys because I knew they were enjoying their food. Nor did I even make a complaint to the waitress. I quietly stopped eating & asked for a to-go box. I left the hairy mashed potatoes. Boxed up the last remaining two to three bites worth of meatloaf, paid the check & bounced. No one likes finding hair in their food. So for this reason alone. I have to justify a 3-star rating. If it wasn’t for that hair find near the end of my meal. I would’ve definitely rated this place better. But I might give them another opportunity in the future we’ll see. Hopefully someone can wear a hair net or just be more careful when preparing or delivering someone’s dinner.

I have never been here before but my server Heather gave me such a great first time experience. She recommended the grape leaves to me (I’m a grape leaf LOVER) and honestly these were the BEST I’ve ever had. They melted right in my mouth. I had no idea every thursdays they do Greek night too which I look forward to! Thank you Heather for the recommendation and I WILL be back!

Our team stopped in for a late lunch on Wednesday. Homemade lasagna was the special and most of us got that in one form or another. I chose the veggie lasagna and it was damn good. The portion seemed like it was going to be to much but I made it fit. I heard no complaints from anyone they all enjoyed their meal as much as I did.
