If you’re searching for that perfect local diner experience in Boynton Beach, look no further than The Green Owl Restaurant! This cozy spot on Woolbright Road is everything you want in a classic breakfast place: hearty, delicious food, incredibly friendly staff, and that warm, welcoming neighborhood feel.
I’ve been a regular here for a while, and every visit is a highlight. The breakfast menu is spot-on – fluffy pancakes that melt in your mouth, perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon, and all the comforting classics done just right. The portions are generous, the coffee is always hot and refilled promptly, and everything tastes like home-cooked goodness. The staff? Absolute stars – they’re attentive, chatty in the best way, and make you feel like family from the moment you walk in.
Sure, it can get busy (especially on weekends), but that’s because it’s so loved by locals! As a regular, the short wait is totally forgivable – it’s worth it every time. Don’t let any lower reviews deter you; those might be from folks expecting something fancy, but if you want authentic, no-frills diner perfection, this is it.
Green Owl is my go-to for breakfast, and I can’t recommend it enough. Support this local treasure – you won’t be disappointed!

Almost across from favorite dentist. Had excellent lox eggs and onions. Pleased that they added capers. My rye toast was buttered perfectly. Splurged with toasted blueberry muffin.

A very cute small cafe near my wife’s surgical facility for cataract procedure. Waitress was very friendly and proficient. Breakfast was good….two eggs with corned beef hash and home fries. Coffee excellent. Will be back in two weeks for the second eye surgery.

I had breakfast here (Feb ’25) & it was made fast & was good!
I hate that I’ve forgotten the server’s name that took my take-out order, but she was a pleasant person! She was the ONLY person that greeted me upon my entrance. She was very nice & gave a warm smile!

Ordered the Hebrew National 2 hotdogs. Asked for them burnt. They were barely done. Asked for 4 mustards on the side. Got zero. For some reason there was cheese on the hotdogs. Got home fries and there were only 5 pieces in the box. Tried calling the restaurant and kept being told they couldn’t hear me and kept being hung up on. Will not go back

Average food didn’t seem like a special day out for breakfast. I guess that’s the kind of place, kind of what mom would make for breakfast. I like interesting things. What I ordered was plain, so maybe that’s my fault. It was good for what it was. Service was friendlly. Atmosphere was comfortable and clean.

Service was great. I had the Western Omelet and add bacon with a side of French toast. Food came out within 5 minutes. I’ll definitely be coming back!
