We had Chicken Kara-Age and Octopus Tokoyaki – both were served hot and were flavourful. For our mains, we had crispy chicken ramen and shrimp ramen – both were really good.
The hospitality was top notch. Expect “asian hospitality” which is culturally-rooted service emphasizing respect, humility, and meticulous care. Oriental music in the background was pleasant.

This place is the best, a hot bowl of teriyaki ton ramen on a winter day is S tier. I was on my lunch break the other week and had a to go order and I left without the broth (honest mistake) I called them and they literally delivered the broth to me within 10 minutes. Above average food, above average service. If I could give them a 6/5 I would!

Delicious food, friendly service in a nice and quiet atmosphere. I went for lunch on a Friday and the place was pretty quiet. I ordered edamame and a spicy ramen bowl.- The ramen was flavorful with a generous serving of pulled pork.

Hanging out around the area for a short trip away from the cities. Came across this place while searching for something to eat. Wasn’t able to try their ramen, but was able to grab some sushi and a few appetizers. Happy with everything that I got. Planning to stop here again on our way up to leech next month. Can’t wait.

Wow. Wow. Wow. I can not say enough great things about this awesome restaurant. I’ve gone there to eat twice now. Staff is absolutely lovely. Food is amazing and well priced!

Out of this world, AMAZING! The service is top-notch! From the kitchen staff to the servers, greeters & owners. They make you feel at home, like family. The food is delightfully delicious, fresh, hot & savoring. My 4 year old is claiming this place to now be her favorite. The atmosphere is a calming, Japanese feeling with lower lighting. Very clean & efficient as well. We have been here twice now and will continue to as much as we can. We made the 45-minute trip to Baxter just for this stop.

Ippin Ramen has been a great addition to the options available in the Brainard Lakes Area. Each visit I have been greeted with a warm welcome and seated immediately (even Saturday evenings). The servers are knowledgeable and attentive, but give you the space to enjoy a peaceful meal. The gyoza and/or edamame have made for a great appetizer pair and would recommend not skipping out on them. The Char Sui Ramen is a go-to with a nice depth to the tonkotsu without becoming too heavy with the pork belly. On the sushi side, the fish presented is fresh and the rolls are prepared well. As a warning, most of the dishes within the Special Rolls section come with a good amount of eel sauce that may distract from the flavor profile of the fish. Lastly, the atmosphere here is charming in a sense, but doesn’t feel as cozy as it could be. This is probably due to the facility being transformed from another restaurant so I can’t harp on this too much. That being said, Ippin is a go-to in my book and I recommend it to friends/family when they venture up through Baxter.
