I was treated to lunch at this French delightfull eatery. Truly a treat in every way. The service was great; the staff are fantastic. The food was excellent. Atmosphere was very comfortable. My onion soup was delicious with a new different taste for me. My host had the mushroom tart which she enjoyed very much. The sausage entry was very nice with a great mild tasty flavor cooked to perfection. My chicken dish had a wonderful sauce and also cooked perfectly. The fries were done as ordered and so tasty. Our deserts were a perfect ending to a wonderful dinning experience. The fact that it was a special price was a BONUS. If you are in the area I highly recommend making a reservation to dine at Kristine’s.

Busy location..We arrived early and the bar was full, so we walked around while waiting for our reservation. The server gave great recommendations and paid great attention to detail of requests. That said I didn’t think the service was overly attentive. When our wine glasses were empty, they simply cleared our glasses-instead of offering another round. The lobster bisque was the highlight of the meal. The escargot was good. Dinner came warm. We had steak fries-yummy, idiot lamb- good flavor not the most tender, duck-fall off the bone, a little salty~each came with a frisee salad and fresh made French fries, we also had a leg of lamb. Overall, it was good, nothing truly special. For dessert we ordered, chocolate souffle-really good (worth ordering ahead), creme brulee-good (no fruit, no toppings), apple tart was meh. Ultimately, it was good, in not sure we would revisit this restaurant.

Dined at Kristine’s during Princeton Restaurant Week and overall had a good experience. The restaurant is fairly small and the tables are a bit close together, but it still had a nice, cozy atmosphere.
Food breakdown:
Vegetable terrine: 2/5
Nice texture but it lacked flavor. I would recommend skipping this one.
Steak tartare: 5/5
Very solid tartare with great flavor and texture.
Coq au vin: 3.5/5
The chicken had a nice red wine flavor, although it was a little on the dry side.
Duck confit: 4.5/5
Good portion size. The duck was tender and flavorful, but the fries were a bit soggy and could have been crispier.
Brittany butter cake: 2/5
The cake itself was dense and somewhat dry. The butterscotch sauce was the highlight.
Chocolate mousse: 5/5
Delicious. Creamy, smooth, and well balanced. I would definitely recommend it.
Espresso gelato: 4/5
Nice texture, but the flavor was not particularly memorable.
Overall, it was a solid meal with a few standout dishes.

Wonderful place all around. Great bartender, great food perfectly presented. Having dinner at the bar I could witness the drinks being perfectly prepared. Foos was excellent and prices quite reasonable – especially in relation to quality. Very well-done wine list emphasizing under-the-radar french wines at reasonable prices. Large selection by the glass. The rainbow trout was exquisitely prepared and served piping hot. Dessert is a must.

The escargot we ordered did not taste fresh, with fishy taste. The side dish of the duck also had excessive grease and we had to just waste it. Waiter seemed a little careless, and long wait for us when we needed his help. For the food quality and service we received, I had to say it was really over priced. Hence 3 stars overall.

What an amazing meal I had the other night ! This duck leg confit was fall off the bone and melt in your mouth. Amazing flavor as well with a great ladoix wine from 2019 to pair ! The service behind the bar was impeccable! I would recommend this great place to anyone looking for an amazing meal and a wonderful experience. Will be back again !

We had a fantastic dinner — the food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it perfect for both a casual night out and a special occasion. The highlight for me was their spectacular wine list — a thoughtfully curated selection that pairs perfectly with the menu.
Highly recommend Kristine’s if you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience in Princeton!

The fresh starter served was warm and tasty. I ordered poached eggs with ham and the flavor was rich and satisfying. The morning potatoes were tasty, even though they needed more seasoning.

The food was excellent from start to finish. The French onion soup was rich and flavorful. For the appetizer and main course, I had the lobster risotto with sausage, which was absolutely delicious. For dessert, I ordered the crème brûlée—perfectly done. I also highly recommend the duck magret and the lemon tart for dessert. The escargots were also very tasty.
There was live music during our visit as they were celebrating Bastille Day, which made the atmosphere even more special.
The only downside was the service—it was a bit slow, and the staff seemed slightly distracted at times. But overall, the dining experience was wonderful and I would definitely come back.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner on a Monday evening with perfect weather. Lamb shank and the Monday Mussels 1 lb special were the highlights of the night. Duck confit was good but the potatoes that came with it were forgettable. Steak tartare was good. Escargot was good too but the pastry that came with it was soggy and too oily. Service was solid with room for improvement. For example, a bus boy grabbed the lips of my water glass when moving it. That’s unhygienic.
