Came in to grab a sandwich. Two employees, one making sandwiches, the other cleaning, all good so far. As I watch one person make a sandwich for an online order, clearly she is struggling with allergies or has a runny nose, something like that bothering her. I watched her change gloves twice to finish a sandwich because she kept wiping her nose. She was clearly making an effort to not contaminate the food but she was losing that battle, and I watched the employee finish that sandwich by quickly swiping her nose, pushing up her glasses, then immediately wrap the sandwich she was making and pack it in a to go bag.

Now it was my turn. Same employee changes gloves, grabs a loaf of bread, then wipes her nose, then touches the loaf of bread. I’m mortified, both for her and for myself, as i embarrass her by pointing out that she wiped her nose then touched the loaf of bread for my sandwich. She walks to the back and the other employee washes her hands, comes over to make my sandwich. I explain briefly what happened and asked for a different loaf of bread which seemed to annoy this employee. She finishes my sandwich without incident but clearly I was the problem for this employee. No apology to me for her coworker wiping her nose while making my food, and an attitude that I annoyed her for daring to politely insist that I get food that hasn’t been in contact with someone’s snot.

I’m able to advocate for myself but I felt horrible for the others in the store. I watched that guy come pick up his snot tainted sandwich that the first employee made before helping me. I wanted to say something but I still felt horrible for the employees despite their poor attitude and actions. The second employee did not throw away the loaf of bread away, actually she carefully set it aside for what i assume was intended to be used later. One of the two guys behind me in line likely got that sandwich. As I’m typing this I now realize, even though I was able to prevent food contamination in my presence, shortly before I arrived the first employee almost certainly touched food on the line cooler, the cutting board, the knife to cut the sandwich, directly after wiping her nose or touching her face.

I was food service in the Army, a restaurant manager, so I understand the struggle to keep a sanitary environment in a food service setting. The failures here are at the most basic level. Hire coachable people who can be trained, and then managers need to set the example and train employees on proper food handling. The first employee did not feel empowered to say to the other employee that she needed time to gather herself so she can stop wiping her nose and then touching food. The second employee should feel empowered to throw away a loaf of bread when a customer complains that they saw an employee wipe her nose then touch that loaf. This might help them have a better attitude towards customers who properly but politely point out dangerous food handling mistakes.

Last time I was here was over 1 year ago at 6pm- lites were on & all doors were locked but could see people inside hiding in the back. I went for a carry out. I went home & enailed the main office about the problem. Also called main 800 number & made a complaint. I have not been back since that day. This store is very close to my house so I drive by it at lots of different times. I hardly ever see a full parking lot- don’t know how this location stays in business. I will never go back there again- there are plenty of other locations close to me that I use now.

I like this location. Food is good, and it’s usually not busy, so everything is fast.

The lady tonight put so much chipotle sauce on my sandwich that it was soggy and disgusting by the time I got home. I should have left when I seen how nasty restaurant was.

i usually come here during the evening and the service is always good and the workers are usually very kind and have good customer service but coming in today the woman at the counter honestly had a really sour attitude that ruined my experience. she kept cutting me off while i talked and when i forgot to add my points she sighed and was visibly annoyed. it made me really uncomfortable and it’s sad bc this is my favorite subway, kindness and patience go a long way..

I don’t know what has happened at this location, but their quality has severely declined. I ordered from here for delivery and only got about half of my order (but charged for all of it), and a lot of what I did get was wrong (no double meat, toppings skimpy or, in the case of my turkey bacon guacamole sandwich, missing the guacamole altogether, side items missing or wrong). I have patronized this location for years, going out of my way to do so, since there are 2 other locations closer to my house, but it’s time to check the others again.

2/7/25 Friday lunch rush. These 2 employees were there by THEMSELVES running this whole place. Trying to do online orders and help all the customers in line. Even though there was probably 10 people waiting in line, this younger man (20’s?) was being very patient with his older co-worker who seemed to be just learning the job. They were both very professional and were trying to go as fast as they could. I would have lost it, but these guys kept their cool. Very nice to see. I was impressed!

When I came to this particular Subway the customer service from 1 of the workers that helped me didn’t say hello back when I said hello & that’s ok but every time I told her what I want on my sandwich she asked me like 10 times what did I say, idk maybe she can’t hear that good

This location always has great service, and solid sandwiches. But what is Subway doing with their new bags? No handles? My wife and I ordered our usual order, two foot-longs and two bags of chips.

Unfortunately, this new paper bag doesn’t even hold everything like the old plastic bags with handles did, because it doesn’t stretch, nor is it easy to carry given the size of the bag and the size of a foot-long. Because of that, one either needs multiple bags, or has to carry their chips separately (while carrying a bag without handles).

Stop overthinking it, and bring back the old bags!
