I meant to post this earlier but better late than never lol. I planned a baby shower at Julie’s Southern Joy, not only was it very affordable but the owner and staff were so accommodating! Most of the room was set up for me, I just brought odds and ends and table covers, this place is amazing! The sandwiches, fruits and veggies were so fresh and they really made it special with the display. The food is the cherry on top!! 100% pleased and totally recommend! I also like that we had access to a separate door, it helped with loading vehicles at the end and giving the expecting Momma and those with disabilities a short trip the their vehicle. Very thankful this place is around.

Friday Lunch was very good. I had the fried chicken, Mac and cheese and white rice. The environment is very warm and southern warm. Bright and clean environment. Tons of seating front and back room. Tons of parking ️ outside. Good family environment.

All the food is good here. My favorite is fried chicken. It is located inside the American Legion, but you don’t have to be a member to enter the building. Just ring the buzzer and they’ll let you in.

Julie provided excellent service and is very warm and friendly she makes you feel at home. The food is hot fresh and reasonably priced. I have to be very careful about my diet and she was very accommodating. The atmosphere was very cozy and eclectic the word kitschy comes to mind. Kids eat free with adult entree. Also they make beautiful homemade from scratch cakes.

A small delicious southern buffet with all the warm southern hospitality. We went here on a Monday for the lunch buffet. There were 3 entrees available along with about 8-10 side options. Online it says there entree options change each day of the week. You also have a salad and fruit station that includes delicious potato salad. There were 2-3 desert options. I had the banana pudding and it was spot on. The two ladies that worked there were really nice and hospitable. Our dirty plates were cleared and drinks topped off frequently without it being annoying. They even have punch cards for loyal customers to work up to a free meal. There’s a small gift shop inside too.

Food was terrible the country fried steak I’m 90% sure was Sam’s club meat loaf was previously frozen the fried chicken was I have no clue it was the nastiest thing I’ve ever tasted ended up throwing it away the mashed potatoes was boxed and the poured butter over it wasn’t fitting to eat. The collard greens was actually good. There’s nothing southern about this food southern cooks don’t server frozen food. And we dang sure don’t use bottle butter over mashed potato’s. If you severing boxed potatoes atleast add some cheese and real butter in it maybe a little sour cream. You can thank me later

The waitress that greeted me was nice and made me feel as if she known me. The food was good. They had pancakes, French toast, bacon, biscuits/gravy and pan sausage. The eggs, could’ve been better though. I feel like they mughtve been powdered eggs. But everything else was good and the service was great.

Mother’s Day brunch was kinda of a bummer. The menu sounded good, and a free mimosa for mom! Unfortunately it did not live up to the $24.00 a person price tag. The food was ok, but like $7.99 ok. The best thing on the menu was the red velvet cake. I was a bit disappointed. I wish Julie’s would go back to menus.
