Awesome eats in a small town. My husband had the bacon cheeseburger and he loved it, even if it came with chips instead of fries. Lots of different types of beer and alocholz good choices. The kitchen is right there and you can watch your food being cooked. Burgers are the best here!!

Stopped here for a cocktail and the place had a great atmosphere. People were happy and friendly. Pizza seemed to be the go to. Just had a bloody Mary and it was made awesome. Will definitely be back to try the pizza.

Stopped in here while camping. Food was delicious, everyone was extremely happy with their choice of food. We left full food was fairly priced. our waitress was extremely friendly and good with Small children. It’s a small town local run down tavern with excellent food and excellent service!

The food was delicious but after we paid and were getting up to leave there was a chipmunk ran under our table the waitress and 4 guys at the bar and playing pool thought it was hilarious. The waitress said the have more then one in the establishment made no attempt to get the creature out. Health violations were pointed out to them with smart comments to us… yeah this was the first time I was there and it was the last time. I hope the health department shuts them down with the pictures I got of it. 8/07/2025.

I wouldn’t even give one star if we could choose none. Friday afternoon, 1:15 pm. The place was quite busy. I went in and sat down waiting for the rest of my party. The cook came over and laid down one menu in front of me and then went right to the table next to me with 4 people. She took their drink order and told them someone would be right over to take their food order. Went right past me again and got their drinks. My husband and sister came in and sat down and I was finally able to get the attention of the waitress to order a beer and a pop. Also I was able to get menus for the three of us. We finally ordered our food. As we were right in front if the cooking station, we watched the cook continuously cough into the crook of her elbow, both arms and continue to cough and cook, on everyones food. Finally our basket of fries sat at the bar while we waited. We tried to cancel our order and was told it was almost ready. When the hamburgers were delivered, we had ordered the bacon cheese burgers and the bacon looked like corned beef Hash. It was raw and we were told it was “bacon ends.” Needless to say, we didn’t want to eat the germy burgers and the fries were cold. It was all we could do pay the bill and get out of there. As we discussed the food with our waitress, the cook started going to the back to cough instead of doing it over the food she was cooking. Overall, it was a horrible experience that we will not be repeating any time soon. If you are in Glennie, get gas station sushi, it would be better.

Your establishment is as terrible as your staff!! Your cook is disgusting. It was an older woman, and she kept coughing and never once went and washed her hands!!! My father-in-law waited 15 minutes to try to get a second drink, but you guys would not serve us. You wouldn’t serve us food either but after watching her cough all over everything, I’m super glad !! Plus your bun steamer is right On the bar blowing steam in customers faces!!! I nearly threw up when I was in the men’s room because it’s so dirty and smelly!!! Instead of tearing down your clientele saying they’re banned or other things, why don’t you clean your Bar and train your workers in health code!!! Don’t worry, you won’t have to ban me I will gladly not return your establishment!!!

The food was decent. We had a big group (15) and there wasnt really anyone in the bar. Food took a very long time and came out very staggered. Half of our table had their food and ate it all before the other end had theirs.

Worst bar I have been in!! The staff is horrible!! The bartender argued with me when i ordered a different drink because i was not sure if taste was off. Then My drink sat unfilled for 15 mins!! We wanted an appetizer but she gave us a menu walked away and ignored us the rest of the time!! The atmosphere is terrible!! The whole place could use a scrub down!!! Especially in the bathroom they STINK they looked clean enough but super small and disgusting… the whole tavern could use a renovation. Wouldn’t go back even if you paid me!!

Staying at Alcona park, arrived Sunday evening. The Glennie Tavern was the only place open. Putine fries are awesome. Burgers were also good. Bartender was like an old friend.
