This restaurant is a hidden gem and a must go to place! The owner knows what he is doing when it comes to preparing delicious food and trying out new menu items. Its hard to pass up his delicious food as it tastes like nothing like I have ever had before in a Great way! I have gone vegan but in support and celebration i partake in others food celebration outings and yesturday we tried a new menu item for lent season which I support highly and that was the fish and it was the best fish and chips I have ever had and im not a huge fan of fish. His way of preparing it with his homemade tarter sauce was like no other in this area and a must, will not be disappointed try. Im a huge fan of his extra fried fries and homemade ranch which are my go to vegan treat. If you havent tried his food you are truly missing out! He also is a great dad who brings his kiddo to work and checks on him frequently while running an amazing passion pursued business. And all his employees are so kind and accommodating. The love is in this business and should be supported just because of that! Awesome experience …now go see for yourself! Worth more than the 5 stars I gave it

First off, the pricing is absolutely ridiculous for what you get. It’s way overpriced. The food itself—the chicken and sides—came thrown onto flimsy paper plates with sauce slopped on, and the drinks/fries were served in those cheap, wax-coated paper containers you’d get at a concession stand or carnival. For the premium price they charge, the presentation is genuinely insulting.
Taste-wise, it was completely average. The chicken was indistinguishable from any other run-of-the-mill chain; nothing about the flavor justifies the cost or the hype. It’s simply not well put together, and the quality is lacking. Save your money and go somewhere else. Very disappointed.

First time customer, walked in the staff was very polite when asking what they suggest for a first time customer! Ended up just getting the normal tender combo and fries. I must say these tenders are so juicy and crispy I had to go back in and tell them it’s amazing!! 10/10

I stopped here while on a trip back to Maryland and I’m so glad I did. I ordered the chicken tenders and fries with the FD sauce, and everything was hot, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell it’s cooked to order, and the short five-minute wait was totally worth it. The food had great flavor, the portions were generous, and the customer service was excellent. The cashier was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I went based on the reviews and was not disappointed. If you’re driving through or live in the area, definitely make a stop.

This was my very first time visiting this establishment. I absolutely love the atmosphere and the customer service. Food definitely needs a little work. I’m praying that it was an off day. The food looked like it was fried in extremely dirty oil. I ordered the fried pickles along with popcorn chicken and I wasn’t even able to tell the difference between the two. It was a mixture of both fried pickles and popcorn chicken all in each container. Also….the chicken was very bland and had no flavor what so ever. I would definitely patron this establishment again if they just tweak those minor details.

I’ve always wanted to try this place. I ordered the 12 oz popcorn chicken. I went into the store to pick up my online order and I thought that the bag was really small for what I ordered. I got home and weighed it. It was not even 7 oz. I called the restaurant and asked about it. They said that they use a 12 oz cup. So basically they use a volume measurement instead of a weight measurement. That’s very misleading. If that’s the case, then they ought to use small, medium, or large and not volume measurements. The taste was even more disappointing. It seemed like it was sitting out for a couple of hours and they used dirty oil to fry the chicken. If you’re looking for some good fried chicken I would suggest going literally anywhere else or making it at home. I will not be coming back, nor will I recommend it to anyone.

Been wanting to try this for some time since it is a local highly rated place. People immediately greeted us and were very nice. Was looking forward to fresh cut fries also. They have potential as they are cooked well, just unfortunately no taste, IMO. Need seasoned. Got a chicken sandwich as well which the chicken itself was juicy and decent tasting. Although for the price it should be on a better roll. It was a simple grocery store hamburger roll that flaked apart. It was an ok visit but not sure one I’ll repeat. Great service tho…

I have to say I’ve been wanting to try Joey’s Chicken shack for quite some time ever since I first open. When I walked into Joey’s Chicken shack it had the most calming and Southern looking atmosphere with like a chicken wind chime and it just had very authentic like 1950s style Chicken shack look to it. I walked up to the counter the guy greeted me and treated me with respect and was very professional. When I was trying to decide what I wanted he asked if I ever ate here and when I told him I didn’t he recommended some things including a chicken sandwich. They have a large selection of stuff and they have different styles I guess you could say and sauces. I got the southern tender chicken sandwich and it was the best sandwich I have ever had that was a chicken sandwich compared to other places I have gotten chicken sandwiches from. Everything was evenly distributed and it wasn’t too overpowering with the sauce it was just perfect. It had a sauce that had a little kick to it but it blended well with the role the pickles and the chicken tenders. I would recommend this place 110% because it is the best chicken place I have been to and the atmosphere makes you feel welcome warm and cozy.

Delicious food, excellent service! I got the grilled chicken tenders and the BBQ fries. The chicken was fresh!! The fries were perfectly layered to get the food in every bite as well. I had two employees check up on me and they were extremely generous.
Only downsides as the tables and chairs are a bit grungy and sticky.

Wonderful customer service. Very clean. Great food. We ordered bacon cheese fries and chicken tenders. Cheese on every fry with the sauce they used and tenders were juicy and had a great tasting light breading! Also homemade honey mustard sauce was very yummy only downfall I can say is the food can be too salty at times.
