Fish isn’t seasoned and is frozen from the bag shrimp decent French toast not Texas thick made out of regular bread with what seems to be cheap cinnamon and this was with service sitting down may seem under rated based on breakfast sandwiches but this spot definitely doesn’t have the same cook as it did when it was located next the barbershop headed towards north ave new location always a hit or miss

I eat breakfast here about 3-4x a week and the food is good. My only issue is that on Aug 12 2025 I ordered my usually breakfast sandwiches and instead of telling me they ran out of eggs they sold me the sandwiches at full price and yea beef bacon cheese on a roll with jelly does not hit the same without eggs. I didn’t hold it against them and I came in today Aug 13 and me not even asking for anything free or any favors started to inform the woman at the counter what happened and she just cut me off mid sentence and asked for my order she clearly did not care. I left it alone and this was my favorite breakfast spot but today will be the last time I give them my business. The food is great tho.

The owners seem nice but no good morning when you walk into the establishment. I pre-ordered before I got there and I still had to wait. They seem overwhelmed and slow.

Herb’s Diner is amazing. I ordered the fried fish and shrimp breakfast combo, the food was very warm just how I like it. I didn’t even make it home without pulling over to enjoy my meal in the car. The fish and shrimp were crispy and you definitely hear that crunch when biting into them.

Everything was PERFECT!!!!!!! They are so pleasant as well. My wife had the sausage egg and cheese which was also on point. And they have real home fries. Not the fried ones. Lol. Will definitely be coming back. Thanks!!! Btw thats a side of bacon. Very generous portions.
