I am guessing they do not work for tips here..
One thing i always notice is the sizzling skillet of fajitas steak coming to the table! Its like applause for food.. just not my food, mu steak comes out on a slightly warmed platter, no sizzle, no applause. Just unseasoned steak dying on a platter while my neighbors get the sizzle…
Another thing.. Sadly, typical of most mexicanas in the US, you get almost no server “visits” like you get at, let’s say, an olive garden or literally anywhere else that isn’t a Mexican restaurant. You sit down, order your drink, food, and the next time you get service is to call for your check. Perhaps its my perspective that is maladjusted, Perhaps they are trying to respect my personal space? I dont know the culture well enough to pin the tail on this one, but I kind of expected to be checked-in on for maybe a refill of my drink? Not here, I had to interrupt a floor manager for that… Asking if everything is okay after everything is gone is kind of a moot point, but at least she had my check in hand to get rid of me.. frankly, the dirty dishes and freshly vacated seats from the group next to me got more attention than I did.. I’m sure its my lack of cultural experience, but here in America, we have standards and some minimal expectations of being checked-in on before we’re ready for our check. Maybe its just me. Its not like the restaurant was “busy” at all, 3 tables adding up to 9 people plus me..
Sorry, but this is primarually a service fail for me.
I’m not going to dive into the uncomfortable conversation I had to have about my well-labled and very well trained service animal. They tried to kick us outside.
Your manager can relax, we won’t be returning.

Excellent Food. Fajitas for two will feed four people. Servers always friendly. Fajitas Jalisco and chili rellano are perfect! Sometimes live music.

Moving from CA to TN it’s really hard to find good Mexican food. We struck gold with this place. Everything has been awesome that we have tried. Ask for the HOT sauce it’s great!

The Barria tacos or quesabariia is not good hard over cooked i sent them back and they came back like barria chips … salsa was ok the chips were fresh and good .Definitely not worth a second try

I got to say, when I left Macon County several years ago… The restaurant that was in place of Don Tequila was nothing of the caliber that I experienced today. Mainly the aesthetics of the restaurant, but still the old restaurant staff and food was good. The staff was second to none before, they are still on par with that now. I kind of had a shock experience as I was walking in and thinking where am I, this is not what I remember leaving. If you’re in the area, go for it. It was good, I liked it, if I’m ever back there I will go back.
