I had the pulled pork with sides of baked beans and coleslaw. All that for $13, which considering how much pork I got was a great price. All of it tasted great. I would give the place 5 stars, but as a previous review noted, they aren’t exactly friendly. I honestly felt like I was bothering them when I came to the window. A really bad vibe, and although I thought the food was great, I’m not sure I really want to go back. Hopefully somebody there will read these reviews and understand that your customers are doing YOU a favor, not the other way around.

I love this place. I’ve been there twice and have been very pleased, both with the flavor and the price. You get a great meal at a great price, with large portions.

Not a bad place. It’s a food truck (not a sit-down restaurant) and the prices listed in the menus I saw were not correct. I got the brisket nachos and a side of Mac and cheese, but was given potato salad instead. It wasn’t bad. The nachos had all of the brisket weighted on the bottom and the toppings were just thrown on top and the jalapenos were missing. Otherwise, it tasted good!

This place should be called Holy Smoke! That’s how good it is. I just got the pulled pork sandwich with a side of Brunswick stew for $10 and it’s worth every penny of it. The sandwich is huge oh, the sauce is good oh, and the Brunswick stew leaves nothing to be desired. Everybody needs to know how good this barbecue is!

Very friendly gentleman! Heard about him from a local and it didn’t disappoint. Tried brisket and pork and both were great. No where to sit so the meals are to go. Recommendation: put the sandwich bun on top of the food so the bottom doesn’t get soggy from the juices in the meat!

As always the food is excellent, unlike the tourist trap on Tybee their Brunswick Stew tastes like Brunswick Stew, not Vegetable Soup. The rib portions are large and falling off the bone.
I’ve eaten Southern Kicks BBQ for years and it’s best !!!

After riding by for years I stopped in to pick up some Q. Great smoke flavor. I like dry Q and it was perfect. Not slathered in sauce. Just smoky and I could do my thing. The ribs were fall off the bone delicious. Also dry which was perfect. As an eastern Carolina transplant for 12 years, it’s the best Q in Sav. I will be a regular now.

Nice little food truck. I had brisket sandwich with mac and cheese and coleslaw.

The sandwich was delicious (very nice sauce), if anything the meat was a little too wet and it made the bun too soggy so I couldn’t actually eat it as a sandwich, but it was fine because I had a fork!

The mac and cheese was alright, nothing amazing, but the slaw was actually pretty impressive.

Will come back to try more. Decent price for the amount of food too.

Add two more votes for this being the best bbq in Savannah….or maybe anywhere! My husband and I just had our first Southern Kicks plates of pulled pork, mac &cheese, okra and Cole slaw. Everything was excellent!

Worst ribs ever!!!!!,
My ribs were dry and burnt. Moreso ,they were slopped in sauce. I wonder as to try to keep me from noticing how burnt they were. My fries were soaked in sauce. I recommend a sheet of wax paper two separate the sides. It was my first trip here and my last. Truly a dissapointment
