Like many other restaurants in this age, Dulce Vida Tacos and Tequila is not a place to have casual intimate conversations. While the decor was very good the overall noise level was to the point that you could hardly hear the music in the background. This would not be an easy fix given the open environment of the restaurant. Because of this I downgraded them on atmosphere.

The food was good and the service was good to very good. Our waiter, Daniel was great in taking our order, but delivered a bowl of queso that we didn’t order. When we told him we didn’t order it, he told us to go take it and he would remove it from the ticket (which he didn’t do, adding 9.99 to the total). I didn’t notice this until just before writing this review. We did eat about half of it (nothing special about the queso). I just don’t like being brought a dish that we didn’t order and then paying for when he could’ve taken it back as we originally told him.

He did do a good job of making sure our drinks were never empty. (Except after he had dropped off the check when I was still eating the last of my food).

My biggest complaint is that the dish I ordered, Shrimp Diablo (spicy), looked nothing like the picture in the menu. I have included those pictures for comparison. I didn’t think to take a picture of my until to eating about half of it. It was good (although several of the shrimp were charred) and very spicy and would consider it again if we return. Although there are many other interesting dishes on the menu (but have learned not to expect it to resemble the photo in the menu).

Very very cute place!!! Service was good! Don’t remember his name.
We started with the OMG! Guacamole and the Street Corn! Both were very good! Cute presentation. Husband went with the Birria Torta which was INCREDIBLE! Daughter, the Fiesta Nachos also very good.
Myself went with the Taco Shots the chicken and steak were perfectly juicy and flavorful. Avocado lime salsa with the tacos was a perfect combination! The shrimp taco ehh a little fishy for my taste. Also it came with a small side of rice and beans in the perfect portion!
For dessert we had the churro cart 4 medium sized church’s, a scoop of ice cream, hot fudge, caramel, and honey to dip! Very cute presentation! We will be back! 10/10!!

Service was impeccable.

A fun place, bday celebrations were going on all around. Fun decorations.

Food was ok to me, a little bland but everyone around me seemed to enjoy it so maybe it’s just me.

Drinks were good, just right. Loved the Pina colada frozen drink.

We had a great time with family.

Valentine’s lunch = Dulce Vida obsession! West Texas eyes confirmed: pure, authentic Tex‑Mex joy. Sangria Margaritas flawless. Choriqueso ($10.99) + house salsa = dip heaven. Wife’s Burrito Chipotle w/ grilled chicken? Perfection. My Texas Rice (steak/chicken/shrimp/queso) indulgent dream. Surprise Churros w/ Ice Cream + caramel/choc/whip? Swoon.

Waitress nailed the sweet spot – present, not pushy. 5⭐ Edmond treasure!

A friend of mine told me to try this place and I’m glad I did. Came here Monday with my family and we were really well taken care of. The decor is really beautiful and added to the experience. Daniel was our server and he was very kind, knowledgeable and funny. The food was not greasy! I think this was the best part. Everything tasted fresh. The beans are not typical pinto but I believe they used red beans. I was not reaching for salt so everything was tasty without adding seasoning.

Dulce Vida is an experience from start to finish. The food was nothing short of outstanding — every bite was bursting with flavor and beautifully prepared. The service was incredible; our server, Daniel was both knowledgeable and attentive, making thoughtful recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. The atmosphere is absolutely breathtaking — vibrant, colorful, and unique — creating the perfect backdrop for a fun and memorable meal. I can’t recommend Dulce Vida enough and will definitely be coming back!

Super fun atmosphere!
They were very short staffed, but we couldn’t tell! The staff worked hard together to overcome the issue (hence we couldn’t tell). They were upbeat and well mannered.

Our appetizers, drinks and meal were all delicious!!!

This was our first time and honestly shocked we hadn’t been there sooner! 10 out of 10!

OH MY GOODNESS!! The food here is AMAZING!! I came with a friend on Tuesday (had the Hawaiian Quesadilla), recommended to some friends who came Wednesday (and loved it) and brought my husband for dinner today (I had the chicken chimichanga and he had steak quesadilla and lava cake for dessert)). He agrees! This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant. Staff and service is TOP NOTCH and it’s just so pretty in here.

First time at this location, came for dinner with the family. Ordered a “La Fresa” Marg on the rocks, piña colada, and Mexican candy for drinks; guacamole appetizer and a “Jalisco” plate for dinner. Love the decor! Our server Anthony gave us great service, made sure we were taken care of the whole time.
Unfortunately, “La Fresa” was not a good drink, so I sent it back for a piña colada, which was yummy. Dipped a chip into the guacamole after a few bites and discovered a hair (pictured), and lifted my sope to discover a longer hair in the beans (pictured).
I love the decor and the service is great, but I don’t recommend this place for drink/food at this time.

From the outside to the inside, Dulce Vida was a feast for the eye to the taste buds! Vibrant colors everywhere you look, the music was just loud enough you can hear it and the person sitting across from you talk about how much wonderful everything is. The service was wonderful, and the presentation was brilliant, I dancedin my seat the whole time we were there! And the Lucky Cowboy is worth getting twice!
