The food was consistently good. The steak was juicy and cooked well, the handmade pasta had great texture, and the calamari was crispy with a bit of spice. We also tried the tiramisu, which was light and not too sweet — a good way to end the meal.
The atmosphere feels upscale but not intimidating, making it a good choice for date night, celebrations, or a relaxed dinner. Service was attentive and organized.
A couple of downsides: parking is a bit difficult, so valet is probably the easiest option, and the lighting inside is quite dim, which makes taking photos harder.
Overall, a reliable choice if you’re looking for a nice dinner in Hollywood with good food and a distinctive space.
I was charged $40 for a single pour of Macallan 12 — a very common scotch that usually runs $20–$25 per glass in comparable restaurants. For context, a 750ml bottle retails for about $65–$75, which works out to roughly $4 per pour at cost. That means Sardelli’s markup is nearly 10x the retail price, which feels excessive and unreasonable.
On top of that, my first visit was on the first floor, where the ambiance was truly amazing. This time, however, we were seated on the third floor, and the atmosphere was nowhere near the same. Had I known in advance, I would not have chosen this location to celebrate such an important occasion.
So while the food and service were solid, my 1-star review is solely for the drink pricing and the disappointment of being placed in a less enjoyable setting for what was meant to be a special night.
The beef tartare was good but we have had better, it was larger pieces than we were expecting but still very tender, and while it was slightly fatty with a flavor of olive oil it was faint compared to others we’ve had. The flavor of the beef shown through the most, we prefer for our tartare to have more obvious flavors other than the beef itself. The bread that came with it was delicious and brought more flavor to the dish, it was crispy and crunchy and thin with a flavor of cheese.
Each of us loved our prospective drinks, my partner his old fashioned and me my lychee martini. It was not too sweet and had two plump lychees in it. He also commented his old fashioned wasn’t too sweet.
The gnocchini pasta was absolutely knock your socks off fantastic. The truffle is strong, the pasta was al dente, and the meat was very tender. No complaints or comments to add on that one, we both took a bite and looked at each other with joy.
The short rib was just as good, with a very tender short rib bed atop a mound of buttery silky potatoes, spinach, and a flavorful sauce. We practically licked the plate clean.
Now for the disappointing molten chocolate lava cake. We were both so excited for this one as we had already been impressed by the rest of the meal and thought certainly they’d blow this one out of the water too. Sadly, the chocolate molten lava cake was flavorless and rubbery. It broke open beautifully and checked every visual box before biting into it, but as soon as we took a bite we felt the sting of disappointment set in. The chocolate lava was gooey but not in a pleasant way, it was lacking in salt and sweetness and reminded me of a mixture of cocoa powder and eggs. The cake itself was rubbery and also flavorless. There was no rich chocolate and I hate to say it but, dominos has far superior chocolate lava cakes. We immediately stopped eating it and let our kind waitress know we wanted to send it back. She very kindly replaced it with the mini cannolis.
For context, the night before we had just ordered cannolis from a local pizza joint and they were delicious. So with this fact fresh in our minds, we took a bite of the mini cannolis served to us by sardellis and once again disappointment set in. They were good, but quadruple the price of our local pizza joint with half of the flavor. They were yummy enough to eat in the moment but not enough to order again nor to recommend.
All in all, delicious entrees and drinks but so-so appetizers and downright disappointing desserts.
Parking –
Sardelli’s is located in a townhouse near the beach, we decided to park in the parking garage down the road because there was very little street parking. The other option was valet but there was no attendant when we arrived.
Ambience –
The first floor where we dined was beautifully lit, there was a large chandelier in the center of the dining space and several small-medium tables. There are large windows that gently let the sunlight in, and to our left was the view of the kitchen and bar. We absolutely loved the space it was beautiful.
We will definitely be returning and ultimately loved our experience here.
What truly sets Sardelli’s apart is the incredible service…the staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. You can feel the heart of a family-run business in every detail; they make you feel like part of the family from the moment you’re seated.
The food? Absolutely divine. Start with the bruschetta…fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to awaken your palate. The pasta dishes are nothing short of scrumptious, each bite full of rich, homemade goodness. And whatever you do, don’t leave without trying the tiramisu. It’s the perfect sweet ending to a perfect meal.
If you’re looking for a place where you’re treated like royalty while enjoying world-class Italian cuisine, Sardelli’s is it.
Highly, highly recommend!
Everything at Sardelli’s Steakhouse was absolutely perfect from start to finish. From the warm welcome by the host to the exceptional service from our server and the courteous valet parker, every detail was spot on. The veal parmigiana was out of this world—tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Our appetizer was delicious, and that freshly baked focaccia? Forget about it! Truly next-level. This place sets the standard. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

To start, the focaccia bread was absolutely delicious. Soft, warm, flavorful. We also had the meatball appetizers, which was once again, amazing. Juicy, tender, and the right amount of sauce. The special we tried was a zucchini flower. Not usually my thing but, I loved it. My friends got the NY strip and squid ink pasta dish. My husband got the short rib ravioli and I got the linguini carbonara. For dessert, I got the chocolate lava cake and there were 2 lemon cello cakes ordered for the table. Honestly, some of the best I’ve ever tried. Everyone was absolutely satisfied and I would love to come back here. I can truthfully say this was one of my best dining experiences ever. From the staff, to the ambiance, to the food. 10/10 all around.
Additional note, the decor was cozy and beautiful. I loved the multi-floor layout.
