Great bakery with pastries made in the best French traditions. I visited in the evening, and even then the selection was quite good — I imagine it’s simply amazing in the morning. Everything I bought was very tasty, although by the evening the pastries had become slightly firm.

I’m planning to come back in the morning to enjoy a truly fresh croissant, just like in Paris. The service was friendly. Besides pastries, I also ordered coffee — an espresso with almond milk — very rich and smooth in flavor.

There is seating available inside the café, but I’d still recommend taking your order to go and enjoying the pastries and coffee on the pier, which is about a 5–7 minute walk from the bakery.

Overall, I think it’s best to visit in the morning or early afternoon, but even in the evening you’ll find good pastries for every taste. Highly recommended for anyone with a sweet tooth like me 🙂

Paris Baguette officially opened today in downtown Long Beach, and I stopped by this morning to check it out. The space is clean, bright, and modern, with a welcoming layout that makes it easy to browse their impressive pastry selection. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better — especially for a busy opening day.

They’re definitely living up to their reputation for pastries. I picked up a chocolate croissant and an apple cinnamon strudel, and both were excellent — flaky, fresh, and nicely balanced in sweetness. Exactly what you’d hope for from a bakery like this.

I also grabbed a Provence chicken pesto baguette sandwich to enjoy later, which looks promising, and a coffee. While I typically enjoy medium-blend coffees, this one tasted noticeably lighter and, honestly, a bit weak for my preference. If you’re a strong coffee drinker, that’s something to keep in mind — though your mileage may vary.

Overall, it’s a great new addition to downtown Long Beach, especially if you love pastries and baked goods. I’ll definitely be back for the food, and I’m curious to try more of their menu.

My wife and I have had the pleasure of trying Paris Baguette at another location before, and we definitely loved the food and our experience there. So when we found out that one was opening in Downtown Long Beach at The Pike, we couldn’t wait to visit.

We went on a kind of morning date and ordered a few food and pastry items to try there and bring home for our kids. We also had a few of their coffee drinks, just to round out our meal there. And everything was exquisite and delicious.

The pastries were all fresh and satisfying. The coffee was refreshing and had a strong but sweet blend. And the breakfast sandwich we shared was simply amazing.

I enter at 6 pm , I pick up couples items to taste , pastel de nata, tiramisu, ny cheesecake, almond pastry , sweet potatoes pastry , and 2 coffee latte.
Great display , but at 3 cashier at the counter only the male was the one smile , welcome and greeting, the others 2 nothing , I order the 2 latte medium size they call my name , latte was no flavor a coffe and cold , the milk was not steam , just warm to cold , completed dessapoint, the tiramissu hard as a rock , same as a cheesecake, but the croissant was great , pastrl.nata was good and the sweet potatoes pastries. And the baquette was nice good as well . If I come back just for croissant , or cold drinks , this people they dont know to make coffe .

Excellent selection! Superb pastries! Outstanding coffee! The staff were polite, professional and quick. If you are not in and out in a minute it’s because of everyone looking at so many wonderful choices. This is next level bakery and coffee shop. Any criticism has to be from the competition. I’m visiting from San Diego and am thrilled they are opening one in my area.

It’s…uh…just okay for a formula eaterie with “over 4,000 locations worldwide.” It’s plethora of pastries nicely displayed in self-service cases, and if you want a sugar rush for breakfast you’re in the right place.

The laminated pastries we tried were buttery and flaky. Good

There was nothing “Paris” about the baguette. It was more ciabatta-like in flavor and texture: chewy, soft-crusted, just the way Americans like their bread. Stop labeling it as a “baguette.” Disappointing

We ordered two hazelnut coffees with our pastries and instead got two overly foamy, sweetened, hazelnut-flavored lattes. Bad

The shop was well-staffed with employees bumping into one another behind the counter, although we still didn’t get the right coffee we ordered (does anyone listen anymore?).

Will we back? No. There are some exceptional locally-owned pastry shops in the area, Porto’s Bakery and Katella Deli to name just a few. We’ve been spoiled.

No response necessary.
