Gaia Forest Cafe & Bistro is a culinary destination in the heart of the historic colonial district of Granada. Located on the Plaza Los Leones square accessible only to pedestrians right off Central Park, we boast one of the largest courtyard gardens in the city. Our nature murals, outdoor seating, corridors laced with plants, water fountains and relaxing music offer a peaceful and beautiful destination for tourists and locals alike.
We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast and lunch is defined by a cafe motif with premium coffees, and a variety of breakfast and lunch a la carte options. Dinner is bistro style and Latin American cuisine, soft lighting, outdoor and indoor seating.

Enjoyed breakfast with my family. The kids had pancakes and fruit and devoured them. We had the Greek, the Italian, Nd the American omelettes with saurkraut (delicious)and potato wedges (nicely spiced) and shredded potato hash browns (crispy golden perfection). We all had the ginger, tumeric, honey shots to start. A great healthy combination. The wraps were also very good. All in all everyone was very happy with their meals.

Wife doing some work in Granada so we slipped into an interesting little restaurant. Atmosphere was top notch with a beautifully done dinning area. Spacious, clean and fresh throughout. Server provided an English menu for me so definitely attentive. Obviously a place with the tourist in mind. Most interesting menu I have experienced in Nica. Kind of an international yet local flare to the dishes. Wasn’t looking for the heaviest meal this night so opted for the Sea Bass. Most of the dinner items were very unique and sounded wonderful. My Sea Bass was prepared exquisitely with mild seasoning that didn’t overwhelm the tender fresh fish meat. Really enjoyed the carrot mash and fruity side sause with roasted vegetables. Wonder, clean, mild delicate flavors. Just a treat overall. Wife was taken a back a little with her papusa as it had a bit of heat to it. The menu item didn’t suggest any hotness to the filling and I found it very mild, but she is not as tolerant. So be careful with some of the menu items if you are not tolerant of some hot spice. Great little dinner spot for us and a nice little upscale experience in the middle of Granada. Plenty of open air seating, great service and great atmosphere for the passing tourist needing a quiet, tasty dinning spot.

I stopped by here for dinner as I see vegan options. The ambience is really good, like forest vibes. The service and the food are great too. But just note that, on the top of price you see in menu, there is 15% tax extra and also 10% service charge extra, thats total 25% extra service fees which puts this restaurant expensive compared to others

Gaia Forest Café is a beautiful spot set in a charming colonial building. We had coffee and pancakes, and both were excellent: fresh, flavorful, and made with locally sourced ingredients. What makes this place even more special is their shop, where they sell all-natural products that reflect the same sustainable philosophy as their menu. The people working there are also very friendly. A wonderful place to relax, enjoy good food, and support local producers in Granada.

I think that I discovered heaven in Nicaragua. A wonderful selection of local organic coffees and nice puddings. A lovely colonial style courtyard and the most incredibly helpful staff.
Located by the central square, this is the perfect spot for coffee and cake.

Delicious lunch. Was disappointed that my first choice wasn’t available. I feel like if menu items aren’t available you should be informed about it when they give you the menu. I never got the water that I ordered but oh well. The food was delicious and the drinks were as well. I’d eat there again.

The food here was absolutely delicious! I didn’t expect so much flavor from the salad, and I absolutely loved the option of a salad combo where you can mix three different salads on your plate to try a variety of flavors. The tomato peanut soup was a standout—so unique and tasty, I’ve never had anything like it before. Every dish was incredibly fresh and packed with flavor, and I appreciated the wide range of vegan and vegetarian options. The prices were very affordable, the atmosphere and ambiance were fantastic, and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this spot!

Wish we had come here sooner on our trip! I tried many different coffee shops in Granada and this is definitely the best, with some speciality coffee options and the usuals. Coffee was a great flavour. I had a banana peanut butter smoothie and asked them to add coffee to which they happily did and it was so good!
The banana bread was delicious
Nice place to sit for a while, very peaceful with calm music playing and a garden. The staff were very attentive and polite. Note that tax isn’t included and is added at the end, so this place does end up being quite expensive.
