Sushi is fresh and delicious – best in Cork that we have tried – the special rolls are so good. The salmon & avo maki is also really good
The miso soup is very good too for a starter. The decor is really nice and the robot bringing out the food is a funny novelty. The waiter is also hilarious, always cracking jokes, and the beer on tap!
The reason I wont give 5 stars is because you have to order a lot of food to get full – if you have a big appetite, but apart from that its a great experience. We will be returning for special occasions!

The Katsu Curry at Okura in Douglas was a letdown. It felt like low-quality takeaway food served at full restaurant prices. The dish lacked depth, refinement, and value for money.

Restaurant has nice decor and good atmosphere, but food was severely lacking in flavour and quality. Chashu ramen noodles were too soft and the soup lacked flavour and depth. Ajiso platter was not worth the price. We asked for water and was told we could not get water due to it being yellow that day and if we wanted to drink something, we would have had to pay for it. And right when we were about to eat, they showed us the yellow water. Is the water not used for all the cooking and washing of dishes? If the restaurant has an issue, it should have been closed that day. We had checked out the reviews beforehand, so confused about this overall very disappointing experience.

This is my favorite japanese restaurant. The food and customer service is great! Joe has always taken care of us and the family. Best sushi that I had ever had. My kids loved their ramen and tempura too! A place worth visiting and celebrating special occasions.

The food is excellent and the owner is friendly, however the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I have had issues in person before and recently with a delivery order placed directly with the restaurant (not through third-party apps).
I placed an order on Friday and after two hours I called the restaurant at least six times, without being able to reach anyone. On Saturday (today), I finally managed to get in touch and they sent the same order, with nothing extra and not even an apology.
So, think twice before ordering delivery.

One of the nicest meals I’ve had, our server (the older man) was hilarious, he was so polite and made us feel very comfortable. He was very informative about the food.
The food was 10/10, I got the soft shell crab starter, the deep fried gyoza and the kora kora prawns which were beautiful. The mains we had were cooked in front of us. We got the duck and the mixed seafood. I can’t recommend this place enough, big portion sizes, fresh and amazing food

Great food and beautiful decor. I love the pretty dishes the food is served in. It feels like you are not dining in Cork but somewhere on holidays in Japan. Staff very friendly. Prices went up so beware one dish can cost you 20e. Skip the desserts and order more sushi to share. Worth it!
