I am by no means a ramen expert or enthusiast but I have been to around 10 different ramen places from LA, Boston, Montreal, NYC, and this is the best ramen I can remember having in recent years. The menu has only a few options but we got the chicken shoyu and the vegan spicy miso. We got a fancy seltzer and an awesome craft beer from Maine (which I had once before and loved). The ramen arrived within 10 minutes of us ordering and it was glorious. Flavor perfection in the broth and the noodles were so good. Lots of ramen shops take it too far and have way too many noodle types and broths. Onsen keeps it simple and they keep it good. If you like ramen or just enjoy a warm soup on a cold VT day this is a great dinner option. We drove over 25 minutes to get there and it was well worth it. My only complaint is they aren’t open more days of the week. I can’t wait to take visiting friends and family here.

Great selection of Ramen. Service is excellent, they were really considerate and made sure to bring out the kid’s ramen first. The pork belly buns are way bigger than expected and worth it! Outside seating area is nicely laid out and variety of tables go choose from.

It is an obviously chic and comfortable little space. The atmosphere is great and the service is efficient and friendly. You can tell the ramen is made with care, which I appreciate. I recommend this place for occasional and special dining, particularly for couples.

A nice selection of ramen broths and fillings. We were pleased with a kid option, which is a big bowl of ramen with choice of broth. Enjoyed my miso ramen with pork belly, wakame, soy marinated egg in a miso -chicken broth. My husband enjoyed his shoyu chicken; rich broth. The ramen noodles are delicious and just right. The space is small withlots of chairs. Lucked into a table for 3.

I had given up on finding even decent ramen in Vermont, but Onsen Ramen was a pleasant surprise. The spicy miso pork ramen had excellent broth, with a lovely umami flavor and just the right thickness. The eggs were cooked well, and the toppings were generous. I’d have preferred melt-in-your-mouth pork belly, but it seems their roasted pork was from a different cut (maybe pork shoulder?) so it was soft but not super tender. Overall,
this was an excellent meal in a restaurant with an excellent ambience, and is as close to authentic ramen that you can get in the state.

I love this place. My wife and I went tonight and were both impressed by them. The service was friendly and attentive. We got a couple of bottles of sake from their curated selection of beers, wines and spirits. We enjoyed all of the sake very much. The owner was incredibly friendly and down to earth. Our food was incredible. My wife ordered a gluten free option on the menu and the owner answered every question we had about the ingredients. My food was so good that I ordered another to bring home. I would recommend this restaurant 100% to anyone who wants to eat out or get take out.

Don’t walk but run to Onsen Ramen! This is by far one of the best restaurants in the Burlington area I have been to yet. The ingredients are authentic, fresh and delicious! The menu is smaller than you might expect but I would rather be at a restaurant with a handful of well executed dishes than a restaurant with a wide array of mediocre options.
They also have a great list of shaved ice desserts which rotate frequently. I believe they are open seasonally and now is the time! Definitely don’t pass up this restaurant?

Omg hidden gem and so yummy. It’s only open about 16 hours a week total. So you might have to wait if you don’t go early. But def worth it

Only got the shave ice this time. I’m no expert, but it seemed pretty authentic and tasted great. The service was excellent. I am looking forward to coming back to try a full meal.

The flavor, the staff…all wonderful.
You can taste how fresh all of the ingredients are. Nothing frozen out of a pre-packaged bag here.
