I stopped by Balkan Bakery on a whim and as soon as I opened the door, the smell hit me, warm, sweet, buttery. Immediate win. It’s not just a bakery either. They’ve got groceries, meats, even liquor. All in one spot. Super convenient, honestly.

I ordered a hot chocolate and a pastry. No name on the pastry, which somehow made it more tempting. It didn’t look like anything i had before, so I went for it. Sat outside on their little patio and enjoyed the weather.

The hot chocolate was creamy, sweet, with just a slight bitterness at the end and top of that some marshmallows, Really good. The pastry was flaky, light, and dipping it into the hot chocolate made it even better.

Staff was friendly and helpful while I stood there deciding. Felt easy, not rushed. I’ll be back for sure. Probably to try another unnamed pastry. Or two.

I would not go there for a coffee. I asked what type of iced coffees are available. She showed me the iced coffee option. After paying, she gave me a cup and pointed to the machine to make my own coffee. Not only was it not iced but was told that if I wanted to use the available syrups I had to pay 75cents per pump. I had already paid, left with a warm plain coffee I could’ve made at home..

I have been wanting to stop at these bakery for a long time and I finally did. My mother and I decided to stop and get something for breakfast. I was extremely surprised when walking in because I thought it was just a bakery. It is more like a small store. It has all sorts of items food, drinks, household items personal items, greeting cards etc. my mother and I ordered the spinach and feta burek and I the mushroom burek. I’m not sure how this item is supposed to be since this is the first time I have had one but it I enjoyed it and so did my Mom. I also bought a slice of the orange and chocolate cake. This too was yummy! We will definitely go back and try a coffee and another dessert. I think the burek will be something I can buy and have for my lunch. The lady greeted us and was very helpful explaining the different flavors of items. Overall, I’m glad we stopped in and we will definitely go back.

Food is COUPLE DAYS OLD, DRY, NON EATABLE. Service is same as food.
$8 per slice of cake that I throw in garbage. Someone will get food poisoning.

Ridiculous—truly ridiculous—from the service to the food. The only thing this place was once known for was their burek, and now even that is terrible. I came a few days ago and was given an almost frozen burek with literally no cheese at all. The lady at the counter told me “it’s fine, let me just put it in the microwave,” which is unbelievable. I said absolutely not, and I’m not coming back here again. When I turned around to grab a yogurt, my cold burek was already in the microwave.

Really terrible service and bad food. There are plenty of new Serbian restaurants around, and you should definitely avoid this place.

Meat burek was delicious, fresh & hot, and the cookies were fresh, soft and very good. Will definitely be back to support this local business!

I come here on a regular basis and liked their Burek, but recently Burek is always dry on top of that $4.89 for a small bottle of yoghurt?! Claiming you use traditional and premium ingredients preparing it every morning or in reality JUST DULUTING it with water ? ‍♀️ The bottled Kefir that costs $5k in store is $10 here. They literally are ripping people off. The blonde lady I assume is The owner is rude . Spare me from the ChatGPT generated response. Not coming back. AVOID !

Extremely disappointed! I found a piece of plastic (or glass) in my Greek baklava. It completely ruined the experience and made me question the safety and quality of the food. Will not be returning.
