Maka Poke is a fast-casual restaurant serving fresh and healthy seafood called Poke. Poke is a raw fish salad served as an appetizer or meal in Hawaiian cuisine. The concept is to create poke with diverse spices and flavors around the world, analogous to the melting pot of cultures in Southern California. We believe that when food made with skill and integrity collide with different cultures, it creates great dishes.

Walked in. Ordered a Small and was charged for a medium even though the employee said that she would charge me for a small. She still charged me for a medium. The employee that I was getting assisted by was a bit more friendlier to the other customers as well, and not me. The food was ok. I don’t know if I would come back or not.

The fish tastes fantastic and the workers are great. The only gripe I have is portion size. For almost 15 dollars for a regular bowl, it feels like I’m getting half a meal. The bowl could be heftier with the base and the protein scoops seem a bit small to me. Definitely could have been an off hour. Overall a great small business to support during the pandemic and a tasty option for foothill ranch.

I see what people mean in their reviews now. They definitely skimp on the base, protein and toppings. Giving you the bare minimum on all 3. And as your naming your toppings the constant “is that it” as opposed to “what else” is a turn off.

I ordered a small bowl, and they put just a little bit of everything. In the end, it barely filled just over half of the already small bowl. I asked for two extra spicy mayo and two ponzu sauces—they gave me only one of each, and one of them was completely empty. These guys sure know how to win a customer’s heart!
