February 2026 Update – Chef Alejandro graciously made me the Cajun Crusted Tuna. Yum Yum and Yum. Gracias Alejandro. My wife’s Pulpo Asado (Grilled Octopus) was also perfecto delicioso. Our dinner service by Syed and cocktails/wine by bartender Mowrice were all excellent. The kitchen team and service team at Turtle Bay are fabulous.
March 2025 Update – Another excellent meal, two tuna dishes, and two different shrimp dishes. Thank you Alejandro for accommodating our requests. The Cajun Crusted Tuna was absolutely perfect. And, thank you Alex for the great service

Everything was great. The Shrimp tacos with a flour chipotle tortilla and the mango habanero salsa was the perfect flavor. I would definetly recommend these tacos.

We ordered a salads with grilled shrimp: it came with 6 big juicy perfectly grilled prawns! The shrimps were juicy and flavorful. My husband’s main was grilled fish with cilantro sauce, very tender and tasty. I think my fettuccini with bacon bits, red sauce, tender pieces of shrimps was the best dishes of all: just the right amount of pasta, and perfectly blended pasta and wine sauce with a hint of basil and rosemary flavor, just like the fish we would have ordered in Italy. Well done! Y to the chiefs. I was planning to return for grilled octopus before flying out, but they only open at 1pm. Too bad! I would return to this restaurant during the next trip.

We’ve been visiting Puerto Escondido for over 15 years, and this was our 7th trip. The Rinconada has changed so much that we always try new restaurants, but our group of four unanimously agrees, Turtle Bay is the best. The dorado and atún are always perfectly cooked, and everything else is consistently excellent. The flavours are fresh, the presentation is beautiful, and the service is outstanding, with servers who have wonderful personalities. Turtle Bay never disappoints and has earned its place as our go-to spot on every visit. Highly recommended.

Outstanding food . I must have been around 8 times during the month and the food is delicious , fresh and interesting . Full of flavour and taste !
Service is fab , as are the cocktails and the ambience is the same as most on the strip .
Highly recommend but would suggest they change their specials menu weekly.

The food was veery delicious! We took a fish in parmesano and a pasta with seafood, and we enjoyed every peace. The portions are big. Service was nice and fast. The owner was there and he was very friendly and attentive.
The only thing is the dessert looked a bit expensive for me for what it was (140 pesos for a piece of cake). Considering the main dishes were actually at a very good price.
Besides, very recommended. When I ll be in Puerto Escondido again, for sure I ll be back.

We had a lovely evening here. We sat outside. We ordered the mahi mahi and the tuna from the specials board and a couple of glasses of Chardonnay. Everything was delicious. The staff were professional. If we were here another night we’d go again.

The best fish chef in Puerto. The ingredients are extremely fresh and the preparation exquisite, he combines the best flavors from around the world eg: saffron fettuccini with shrimps and mussels, mahi-mahi with white wine and capers, ask for the special board as he gets creative with seasonal, most fresh ingredients. A must try in town.

10/10 recommend! The service was excellent and the dishes were beautifully posted. I got the special, sesame crusted Tuna. It was filled with flavor & pleasant to look at. I also tried 2 ceviche’s – I enjoyed the tropical one better, but they were both good! If you’re in Puerto and looking for a nice dinner that is packed with flavor, I would recommend Turtle Bay.

Insanely overpriced, very small portions because “gourmet?”. Note to bartender margaritas don’t have seltzer ;).
Even though it was empty in order to get help had to stand up and look for them.
