There are many single-worded superlatives I could give Spice Route – I’ll use ‘AWESOME’! A really breath of fresh air to find and experience a restaurant like this. After dining at hundreds of Indian restaurants over the years I was starting to get the feeling many were tending to be run-of-the-mill in their standard and felt left totally uninspired, almost regretful that money had been spent on food that was very average. However, I have been totally rejuvinated and amazed by the Spice Route – it was an amazing meal with lots of variation and every dish was very different – no regular base sauce approach going on here I can assure you. All of the dishes were unique and so tasty but I have to say the Chicken Shaslick was just superb!! All the staff were so attentive and friendly and I can’t wait to go back again…I wish we lived closer but then again maybe its a good thing as I would eat here every night! 🙂

Tough week, so we decided at the last minute to go out for Saturday lunch. Pub was fully booked and I felt like curry. What’s this? Very highly rated restaurant in Andover, surely not?? Not only that, but Spice Route was empty!
No mistake at all. We chose their thali set lunch, which was immaculate. Beautifully balanced Rogan Josh or Butter chicken, rich and warming Dhal, vegetable curry made with fresh vegetables (not overcooked), warm freshly cooked naan and a salad, which was also freshly made. A small portion of gulab jamun for dessert. All for £15.
I am a big curry fan. My Mum grew up in Bangalore and I have travelled to India several times. Spice Route is the real deal. Many indian restraunts use tough chewy lamb, here is is melt in the mouth tender and perfectly spiced. Service is attentive, not invasive.
IMO the best restaurant in Andover at the moment.

We had been in spice route couple of times and every time we had really yummy food, very friendly and welcoming staff. Food is always very tasty and the environment of the restaurant is so cozy. This restaurant is best restaurant in Andover for Indian food so far. We just loved being here and having authentic Indian food.

I’m still reeling from the incredible dining experience I had at Spice Route in Andover. The buffet spread was nothing short of phenomenal – an impressive array of dishes that showcased the rich diversity of Indian cuisine. From flavorful curries to fragrant biryanis, every bite was a delight. It was hands-down the best Indian food I’ve had in a long time.

I took the extended family here on a Sunday evening, if I (we) said, it was great, that would be an understatement.
The Cumin rice was recommended and I had the spinach dish , but the lady manageress kindly switched the meat for huge King prawns and added a sweet Naan, I had a taste of two traditional sweets/deserts, one was made from carrot, awesome !
Everyone commented on the food.
I cant remember all the names of the dishes, but Indian restaurants, that have noticeable Elephants and Cows involved in the decor are another level !

Fantastic meal at this curry house – probably the best in Andover! Superb service and nothing too much trouble.
Highly recommend the chicken 65 as a starter; lots of large pieces of succulent chicken. Simply delicious.

Best Indian restaurant I ever went in the UK.100% recommend, great service and neat and clean, Mr. Praful is an Amazing guy, They use real spice from India and also the chiefs are indian. If you ever wants to try the real north indian taste then I recommend you guys to go there.
