BUY THE BONE BAR-B-Q

This was our first try of Buy the bone. The look of the place is down home. It’s giving old school. I’m not against that! Because when you seee it you know there’s some authenticity behind it. Culturally I had high expectations like Sunday dinner ( we went on Sunday ) but not Thanksgiving style when you’re doing the most! Well it’s good! The brisket was tender! We liked the authenticity of the sauce, it wasn’t just sweet baby ray or something like that. Somebody is doing something with the BBQ sauce!!!! We Mac and cheese was done up! Somebody doing something with the cheeses and seasonings! The greens were seasoned and meatless. Couple things I would want to see, yams(sweet potatoes) and burnt ends to the brisket, yes! In between the tasty greens and Mac n cheese some yams would be great!

I got the rib tips because they we’re out of brisket. It was very good along with the Mac n cheese , collard greens and potato salad. Takes a little time for the food to be cooked so order ahead if you are in a hurry. The serrvice was very good too.

I have passed by this place a multitude of times and today I finally made a stop. I’m mad that I hadn’t stopped sooner. This whole in the wallis definitely on my list of places I must take my in town and out of town friends to. The service was prompt. The food is fresh. It’s family owned. It’s extremely affordable given what some of the more dolled up places charge for less quality. If you’re driving down Stephenson Rd and you see the sketchy looking bbq place make sure you stop in and grab some. You won’t regret the decision.

This is a roadside hole-in-the-wall BBQ shop. You order in a small one room house and wait for your order outside (locals seem to wait in the car with their buzzer). And it was the best brisket we have ever had. Simply incredible tenderness! And the potato salad and beans – typically things I only snack on – were just as good. The plate was locked clean.

We were craving BBQ after camping at Stone Mountain. Super happy to have stumbled upon this place. No frills but very delicious! Great value, fast service. Collards were on point, meat was perfectly smoky and tender. Will definitely be back!

Mannnnn forget by the bone, they need to add allllll the way down to to the bone!!!! This meat was smoked all the way down to the bone, every single thing was amazing. Mac and cheese, greens, baked beans and potato salad!!! Amazing!!! I’m here from North Carolina and I will most definitely be back to eat this greatness! Shot out to the cook who I think is the owner, he was very polite and welcoming!!! 10 stars

By far the best barbecue I’ve ever had and I come from Texas if you are around or near or passing through you need to stop at this place and meet the owner. They are great people the best barbecue, hands-down I have ever had.

They were out of burgers. The chicken didnt really have any flavor and could tell they were left over from the previous day and had been microwaved. The collard greens werent the best but the baked beans were delicious. If I return I’ll try something other than the chicken.
