So to start my dining experience, I was seated at a small high table in the back of the restaurant that had no lighting. The host went and got a table light that was not sufficient to my liking. I ordered an 8 oz filet medium, a lobster tail (surf and turf) came with a leafy salad and a side. Mine was the twice baked potato.
So the salad was okay, but then the filet and lobster tail came. Now I’ll eat a good cut of meat rare, but I ordered medium because it was my first visit to Speakeasyon the recommendation of a good friend I work with. The steak was med- rare, fine. The big problem is so was the lobster tail, raw shellfish is a problem especially since the tail cost $29 to add it to the filet. The twice baked potato was 2 different temperatures, the skin was warmer than the mashed potatoes they scooped into it. If I’m going to a steakhouse and I’m spending $90 on my dinner it better be cooked perfectly. The service was good, but that will be my first and last time I eat in this restaurant. I usually don’t write bad reviews but the lobster tail set me over the edge. Happy dining all, see you on the next one!

Was it perfect, no. Will I come back, absolutely! Great vibe, excellent service, and stellar beer selection. The food: great elevated side salad. I appreciate not having just a cheap iceberg plate. The delmonico was my disappointment but I would try it again. Overcooked by about 2 levels and pretty plain on seasonings. The server noticed it was overcooked, I didn’t even need to say anything. They offered to remake a new one which I appreciated but wasn’t necessary. The insisted on taking money off the bill which I again said was unnecessary. Had the side of asparagus and was a little disappointed it was covered in Parmesan which I didn’t catch on the menu. For me, it was too much seasoning and next time I’ll ask them to omit it. Those were cooked perfectly though.
Typically I won’t give a place another chance if they can’t cook my steak right but they way they handled it, and the overall service of the restaurant will definitely bring me back to try it again. I fully believe they’ll have me at 5 stars on my next visit.

We stumbled across this place while buying a gift card for someone so we decided to eat here and so glad we did it was absolutely amazing my brother got a filet and I got a spicy burger and it did not disappoint at all very delicious and the roasted corn on the cob is off the charts. The atmosphere inside this place is next to non it will take you way back in time. Keep up the great job we will be back soon

I have dined here twice and both times I had a wonderful experience. Staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. The food was hot, fresh and flavorful. I ordered the glazed salmon for my main meal, it melted in my mouth, It was fantastic. I enjoyed the quiet secluded seating, good atmosphere over all. I will dine here again.

Service, drink selection, and atmosphere were excellent. I did not know what to expect with a delmonico ribeye, but I favor ribeyes in general. When I asked, I was told it was a boneless ribeye. I was pretty underwhelmed.. That being said, people have talked highly of this establishment, so a different entre might be the answer.

Second time visiting last night, first time was about a year ago. Service last night had some big issues but when we finally got all of our food taken care of it was very good. One plate of food came out so bad the first time we sent it all back but they fixed it quickly and also adjusted our check so they really did make it right. So while last night was not what we were expecting based on our first visit we’ll be back because in the end the food was delicious and very reasonably priced.

This place is a hidden gem. We have been here a few times over the years. Tonight though everything was stellar, from the service to the food to the drinks. I think this place gets better with age!!! If you want a steak with amazing flavor definitely stop here!!The stuffed mushrooms are phenomenal as well!!!

We made reservations and it was homecoming so we went next door for a drink at the martini bar, great drinks there. When we got seated at the speak easy, we had a fabulous waitress, even better food, and yes, the drinks were better here. Steak was unbelievably good, scallops melted in my mouth. Going back again!!! Oh and the stuffed mushrooms were the best! Perfect blend of heat and flavor.

Nice little place to eat. The food was delicious. The stuffed buttons were very delicious. My steak was perfect. My wife had the chicken breast and it was delicious as well. We’d definitely go back.
