I’ve been here several times. I think it’s the best bagel establishment in the area, it’s always consistent and I love the veggie bagel sandwich with egg. Perfectly cooked egg every time. the owner Lamar is friendly and even though he was closing soon, he put on a new pot of coffee for us while we waited for our sandwiches.

Great food at reasonable prices. This bagel shop has been here as long as I can remember and I think they’re the best in the East Stroudsburg area. If you like spicy food try the jalapeno bagels, especially as a bacon, egg, and cheese. They have good hash browns too. Stop on in and try it out. You won’t be disappointed.

Unnecessary delays. On several occasions I heard from the owner/manager that his workers don’t show up. You are a business. Even if your food is great you are responsible to retain reliable workers so your customers are served. Patrons like me have gone elsewhere so we’re not late to our job. Your place was more efficient years ago. Please improve so I can grant you a 5 star review. Thank you

I’m very picky about my egg whites and onions, the onions have to be chopped and they have to be cooked well. Well done, this place knows exactly how to do it, The bagels are fresh. The service is great, overall I give it a 10 out of 10.

I decided to try this establishment yesterday, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I placed a simple order — a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese. Based on my experience with other bagel shops, they typically apply a generous amount of cream cheese unless otherwise requested.
In this case, the older woman preparing my order spread only a thin layer of cream cheese on the bagel, yet the price remained $3.50.
While this will likely be my first and last bagel from here, I will note that their breakfast sandwiches on Kaiser rolls are quite good and worth trying.
Update:
They were the only place open at 0530 so I was forced to try them again. I’m happy I did. The bagel came right out the oven. The cream cheese was proportionate to the bagel and price point. The older gentleman prepared it. The taste was perfect.

Quality bagels and very nice owner and employees who reciprocate with a smile and quality customer service. Bagels are fluffy, soft, and made in a heartfelt manner which you can taste. Good work!

Really inconsistent. Can be good. But have had issues with orders not being made after ordering and sitting for 15 minutes then asked what I ordered. Finally stopped going after I got home and the taylor ham egg and cheese had 1 slice of taylor ham on it and even worse the ham egg and cheese had 1 very thin slice of ham on it. Someone else posted a picture showing the same.

To be honest, this place used to be a lot better when the new owner took over from the old owner and he had decent staff. It was almost as good as the old owner Brock but now as of recent October November 2025, it is now overpriced and nothing but headaches to get what you actually want. The owner now favors which I can only assume is his partner/lover/girlfriend/wife. I’m not sure, but that being said any good workers that were there are no longer there and now $10 will get you one egg a slice of meat and some cheese on a bagel. The only only reason I still go there is because the bagels are still made like the old owner used to make them which are absolutely fire but other than that, it is now become a place to waste money and time, I can only hope one day it returns to its prior glory until then travel two more miles down the road to Euro bagel and get your moneys worth

I used to go to this place all the time and it was amazing. You would get a great sandwich at a great price but now you go there and you overpay and you get one egg and one paper thin slice of pork roll on a Kaiser roll that is so thick you can’t even taste the egg or the pork roll. I would rather go to the Sunoco gas station across the street and spend 3.99 for a much better sandwich, I will never go here again, unless there are some major changes.

Hot Bagels is a gem in the area, offering a delightful selection of bagels reminiscent of those found in New York City.
The standout feature of Hot Bagels is their extensive assortment of bagel flavors, all freshly made every morning. Pair these with a variety of cream cheese flavors, and you have a winning combination. The bagels and the spread were delicious. The staff is friendly, warm and welcoming.
Hot Bagels in East Stroudsburg has an outstanding range of bagels and spreads, akin to what you might find in New York City.
