Wonderful place. A real treasure. Food is delicious. Service is excellent. A warm, friendly atmosphere. Our server, James, made us feel like the only patrons in the house.

We made a reservation for Valentine’s Day and received the worst service we have ever experienced. This was a reservation-only, fixed-menu dinner. We waited 30 minutes just to receive water, another 30 minutes for our drinks and first course, and then 40 minutes after the bread course to receive our salads. We originally wanted the crab bisque, but they were already out.
We ordered a second round of drinks that never arrived. I went up and paid for our meal before we even received our main course, and only then did our server seem interested in serving us. We ended up taking our entrées and desserts to go. They only had banana pudding left for dessert.. I’m not sure how with a fixed menu they run out of options.
Other tables that arrived after us were served, finished, and gone before we had even completed our salads. This was clearly an issue with our server(the one that decided to bring her baby to work), as we watched consistent service being given to other tables.
We spent $184, and it was absolutely not worth it. Sadly, we will not be returning.

We had a lovely time at Kirks Ferry, celebrating friends and family. The historic building is elegant and cozy with great attention to details. We were seated in a separate room from the main dining area for our party, and service was amazing. Everyone got their drinks in a timely fashion and the food was absolutely perfect. Best brussel sprouts I’ve ever had! And the burnt ends? To die for. Great food and drinks, great atmosphere in the historic building, lovely service from some very delightful people. Thanks so much to everyone at Kirks Ferry for helping us celebrate one of our favorite people on their special day.

My group and I went to Kirk’s Ferry for a close friend’s birthday and had such a great experience. Even though the restaurant was busy that night, everything ran smoothly. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had what we needed the whole time. Drinks came out quickly, and the food was absolutely worth the hype.
The barbecue was some of the best I’ve had in Oregon, the burnt ends were tender and packed with flavor, and the brussel sprouts were seriously unforgettable. You can tell a lot of care goes into the menu.
The building itself is beautiful and full of character, which made the whole evening feel extra special. It was the perfect spot to celebrate, and everyone in our group left happy (and very full). Would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for great food and a welcoming atmosphere.

My fiance and I look forward to coming here any chance we get! We’re new(ish) to the area, and we’ve already fallen in love with the food, service and atmosphere. I can’t help but look around and admire the scenery and vibe with the music in the background.
The food, is amazing! Everything is so full of flavor and tastes fresh.
We brought our teenager tonight who let us know it was the best piece of meat he’s ever had! Major compliment coming from him!

My wife and I frequent here when we go to Oregon to visit family. This is one of our favorite places to get brisket or a steak. We do a lot of traveling and go to a lot of different steak houses, and is still in our top 5 spots. The sides are all great. Cannot get a bad side or entree here.
The meats are all made to order and are excellent. May take a little extra time so don’t expect this place to kick out your steak like a Denny’s.

All around amazing experience! Food was exceptional, staff was friendly and the atmosphere is really cool. And there is really neat story behind the place to make it extra special. So nice to have a spot like Kirk’s Ferry in our area. And if Brownsville is not your area, you should make the trip to try out this restaurant.

Was so excited for Valentines dinner to get the Tomahawk steak. Come to find out our regular reservation was not enough, you also had to reserve the steak as well, which was never mentioned to me on the phone call. Was hoping the other food made up for the almost $200 bill but it was pretty underwhelming. Banana pudding for that price tag was super disappointing and it was rushed out with the entree, nothing like banana pudding while you still have ribeye on your plate. Should have left after the soup and not wasted all that money, I was really hoping they would comp some of the meal since we really just came for the Tomahawk. At least the service was good, it wasn’t the waitress fault.

My fiancé and I have been kirks ferry s number of times and we have never been disappointed! Valentine’s dinner was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect! The 4 course meal was well planned and absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back!
