The menu offered some intriguing options, including kangaroo and ostrich, which definitely caught my attention. I opted for the lamb, and my husband chose the shrimp and grits. The food was decent, though not particularly memorable.
Despite the slow service, the staff’s kindness and professionalism stood out, and I’d consider visiting again to give them another try. Four stars for effort and hospitality.
The customer service was equally impressive, attentive, warm, and professional without being intrusive. What truly elevated the evening was Chef Taylor personally visiting our table. Taking the time to engage with guests speaks volumes about the pride, passion, and care behind the kitchen.
Salt & Marrow is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates great food and genuine hospitality. We will definitely be back.
I must say that the food was delicious. My filet was cooked perfectly. One of our sides brought to the table, wasn’t what we ordered. By the time we got the right one we were almost done eating. They did offer us a free dessert but at that point we were so ready to get out of there. We just took it to go because both of our eyes were burning so bad.
We had a reservation for 7:45. I feel like they could’ve at least called to let us know. Hey, we’re having an exhaust problem just in case you have asthma or anything like that and given us the opportunity to make that decision before we made a 45 minute drive to come to their establishment. I am grateful that the company I keep makes up for the issues that sometimes arise in life!
Our dinner meal was a 12oz New York Strip, the Blackened Pasta, and a couple of signature cocktails. The food was absolutely delicious from presentation to completion. We also split a hearty slice of the made in house carrot cake and it was excellent. We also had a visit from the Chef which is always a great touch.
Were were very satisfied with our food, our table service (very responsive and never intrusive), and the overall atmosphere.
Additionally, after leaving the restaurant, many of my guests reported that their clothes and hair were heavily saturated with a smoke odor. This was completely unacceptable for a dining environment and significantly disrupted what was meant to be a special occasion.
Given the circumstances and the impact on my celebration, I am requesting appropriate compensation. I would appreciate a prompt response outlining how you intend to resolve this matter.
