This place is a neighborhood gem. All kinds of great art on the walls sets the mood that all here is homemade. House salad is incredibly flavorful. And papardele with mushroom sauce was so rich but not heavy. I’ll come back with a bottle of wine and a bigger appetite for dessert. Oh, Monday and Tuesday is 2 for 1 on a special anniversary menu.

Went for a family dinner with our baby and toddler. Didn’t have a reservation but they made room for us and we had a wonderful night. Our toddler chose the pasta primavera and loved it. Husband had veal parmigiana and it was great and huge! I had the pappardelle porcini and it was unbelievably creamy. Solid food with fresh ingredients wonderfully made and so family friendly. Looks like it would also be great for a date night. Highly recommend and will definitely be back soon!

Oh my God, I love this place I ate here a couple of days ago and this is the best Italian restaurant that I have been to. I had the lobster ravioli. The homemade sauce was amazing and it was so flavorful. I’m usually not the biggest fan of Italian food just because it tends to lack flavor but oh my this was great. Also, the service was amazing as well.

A cute little traditional Italian restaurant in the heart of Lincoln Square. The burrata is SUBLIME, and the rest of the menu ain’t half bad either. It’s BYOB, so grab a bottle of wine, and come here ASAP. They’ve got a 2 for 1 special on Mondays and Tuesdays to celebrate 25 years of being in business, and if you can take advantage of that deal, please do so!

I give 5 stars because I worked in the business for over 15 yrs and know how difficult it is to run a restaurant but at the same time it’s very simple. Simple meaning doing the small things correct over and over again even when it’s busy and there’s pressure and especially when it’s not so you don’t become complacent. I had a chicken and ravioli dish that was wayyy too salty. Everything tastes fresh but way to salty chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly. It’s very very important for any chef to put his ego aside and always know he’s human and not perfect like all of us in this world. Always taste your food in a sanitary fashion and make sure it’s not over seasoned before putting on the plate otherwise it’s very very difficult to eat. I really hope the owner or manager can be on the expo and taste the food before it leaves the kitchen.

Great experience here at Caro Mio. Service was exceptional, professional and prompt. This location has only a few tables and I recommend making a reservation prior. Started out with the mushroom special which was underwhelming. For my main course I ordered the homemade gnocchi which was superb. Each bite was light and melted in your mouth. Also the Pollo alla parmigiana was thinly flattened and rich sauce. Entrees come in large portions so be prepared to have leftovers. Note this restaurant is BYOB. If you are searching for a classic Italian dinner with homemade noodles this is the spot to check out.
