Went for Thursday Steak night and it was great! Chef Freddie with Bourbon_Butter_Steaks on iG is amazing and does pop up steak nights offering wagyu ribeye (10-12 oz thin cut), filets (6 oz) and a seafood option that varies along with amazing sides like charred green beans and bacon Mac n cheese. He also has a Butcher Board that may have all meats and sides or probably a lobster tail. They sell out fast and have a following but definitely worth following and joining! Chef Freddie is so nice too!

What a gem! I was sad about Big Owl Craft Brew House closing near me so I ventured out to look for an alternative and think I found my new spot!

Happened to be here on a Thursday which is when Bourbon Butter Steaks is there! Wow. The beer selection was insane. Especially the canned gems from other states.

We came out to Cobble & Spoke from SE Houston (Deer Park area) to give it a try on Steak Night. It did not disappoint. The steaks by Chef Freddie @burvon_butter_steaks were delicious. The sides were also very good. Add in the drinks and we had a great evening.

For distinguished seekers of strong drink in all its hoppy delight Cobble & Spoke is an excellent destination that should be on your list.

Located in the heart of Spring Branch, tucked away in an unassuming little shopping center are places that wouldn’t be out of place in the heart of Montrose or the Art District, but without the sometimes ridiculous snobbery that can erode away at the experience you might have.

This is a lighthearted but very passionate brewery/pub/eatery you’d want to leave your sword and shield at the door after a long day on the battlefield of capitalist casualties and enjoy a tasty mead to drown your woes. The conversation ain’t half bad either.

Expertly decorated with natural light and greenery it’s a great place to go solo, with a date, or even bringing your pals to unwind.

This business is the reason I am passionate about reviewing on this platform, as I would do this for free (and do) for the simple fact that locally owned businesses truly share the values of their patrons. The experience you will get easily defeats the bloated corporate idea of the same concept, and even though they might have fatter wallets to throw at aesthetics, they lack the heart and value local spots have in spades.

If we collectively, as a city spent our hard earned dollars locally instead of funneling it out of our own city into soulless cross continental greedy conglomerates, we can keep the wealth in Houston. Pay a little bit more to make that happen and watch how our great city will transform into a place that represents US, the unconventional odd family that we are.

Exemplary beer bar in Spring Branch. Eclectic array of locals and other visitors. Outside food is welcome. Regular community gatherings. Cycling-life is predominant. Kyle and Zach run a friendly neighborhood venue. Playlist is usually metal/death/stoner/doom/sludge/____core, but not always. Games on screens.

I came across a neighborhood bar that offers a large selection of draft beers and has easy parking. It’s located in a non-descriptive strip cenre. I had just finished shopping for vinyl a couple of doors down and decided to stop in for a beer. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was prompt. Overall, it was a pleasant experience in this casual bar setting.

One of the best craft beer bars in Houston, and the state. Definitely worth a visit. Great selection, check their menu on the Digital Pour app, it’s always changing. Good stuff.

Excellent spot for sours & IPA’s. No nonsense bar gives you exactly what you came for. Many patio tables outback and about 40 beers on tap plus bottles, cans, and build your own crawler options.
