Stopped by Hog Leg Barbeque and ordered the Field Goal plate, which came with pulled pork, chicken, one rib, and two sides. I chose baked beans and mac & cheese. I was actually drawn in specifically for the gumbo, but unfortunately it wasn’t available during my visit, not a dealbreaker, but worth mentioning since it influenced my stop. One small note: the ice machine was down, and ice was being served from a Yeti cooler instead. Not a huge issue, just something noticeable. The chicken was the standout! Tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Easily the best meat on the plate. There were also several sauces available, which I appreciated. The BBQ sauce itself was sweet and smoky with a mild tang, though a bit thinner than I prefer. Unfortunately, the rest of the food was hit-or-miss. The rib had good flavor, but it was very chewy and still had a lot of membrane, which made it tough to enjoy. The pulled pork was mediocre and a bit greasy, and the baked beans lacked seasoning — they tasted more like plain pintos, with several beans having a burnt flavor. The mac & cheese was okay, but nothing memorable. That said, the service was excellent — very friendly, personable, and welcoming. The atmosphere was clean, cozy, and spacious, making it a comfortable place to sit down and eat. Overall, the BBQ itself didn’t quite live up to expectations, but the great service and pleasant environment balance things out. Solid experience, just not standout BBQ for me.

1st time here and the food was not great at all. I thought after reading so many good reviews me and my son was in for a treat. The nachos were good but my brisket was not juicy or tender and was very dry. My son could not even finish his sandwich. The bbq sauce is basically water. Too much money for just the nachos to be good. I will not be back or recommend it.

Used to go when they first opened up and was always impressed. Brisket was my favorite. Then COVID hit.
Finally got back there last week.
Wife had ribs and I had brisket. Both were just mediocre, not bad but not good either. Especially for the price!
The brisket was was not tender, it was actually slight tough and not a good quality. Did not have that great taste it used to have.
Wife was disappointed in the ribs. I tried them thinking I should have gotten them instead of brisket but they were not much better. Sadly, we will not be going back. No where near what it was when it first opened.

We were passing through Arab, saw Hog Leg BBQ and decided to try it. Excellent decision!! We ordered to go, but Husband said the place looked clean and welcoming. Food was AMAZING and reasonably priced. We shared a smash burger—delicious!—a pulled pork sandwich—so juicy and flavorful!—and we tried both the fries and tater wedges. Both solid choices. Do yourself a favor and visit Hog Leg BBQ. It’s well worth the drive!
I gotta go eat my banana pudding now.

Unfortunately we had nothing but disappointment from our visit today. The wide variety of food items we got (pork, sausage, wedges, banana pudding, mac n cheese, tacos, hamburger) were ALL lacking in many different ways. Each item was flavorless, dry, and over all a disappointment. We had very high hopes after reading previous positive reviews that this might one of our favorite bbq places, but we would most definitely not return or recommend to others based upon today’s experience.

This was my first and last time to get food from this restaurant. I spent nearly $50 for terrible uneatable food. The bbq was very very dry, the Mac and cheese was very old , the banana pudding was spoiled, soggy fries. Really nothing was good. I threw it out. I got one plate for a neighbor and she said she was unable to eat it because hers was so bad also. BBQ nachos

Eat here! Don’t think twice. This place should have a line out the door at lunch and supper! I had the pulled pork nachos and my wife had the pulled pork plate with some amazing collards & baked beans. Everything was awesome! It’s worth the drive.

We LOVE this restaurant! Their food is fresh, delicious, made in house (including the pickles), and well worth the price. I almost always get the pulled pork sandwich but everything is amazing. The sandwich plate comes with one side and a sweet. The cowboy beans pair very well with it. The brisket melts in your mouth and the lemon drop pudding is fantastic! This place should definitely be on any list of places to try!
