Consistently delicious. Been here many times now since moving to Cville and it is my new go-to sandwich shop. Employees are beyond friendly. Sandwiches very fresh with generous portions. And the way the meat is prepared/cooked makes every sandwich that much more tasty. Will continue to return. Highly recommend.

I haven’t been to this (or any) firehouse subs in years, so I thought I’d try it out again. The food here is delicious! It has the freshness of Jersey Mike’s which I love. Both are quite different from Subway and Jimmy John’s. My only gripe is how darn expensive it is. 15+ dollars for a 12 inch sub is crazy, and not something I can afford regularly. But that seems to be the nature of the beast when it comes to subs nowadays. Nevertheless, I definitely recommend this shop for anyone in the area! Additionally, barring a little side-eye from one employee, the service was solid as well.

Had the new large chicken sub advertised at $10.89. Tried to sell it to me before tax at $15. Told them I wanted the advertised price. Manager was in the bathroom for almost 15 minutes. After waiting for him (the joker didn’t even wash his hands) he didn’t honor their sign. False advertising is illegal. I’ll be calling Corporate and BBB in the morning.

I will say the customer service that I experienced was great. Unfortunately, the potato soup was more like hot potato salad. (Which should not be a thing ♀️) The Italian sandwich was good, but this rating is based on this and a prior experience with a salad purchased from here.
I want to note that I did call about the salad in August and was offered to have the salad replaced, I didn’t go back within the 30 days to recoup the dish. Once again, excellent customer service, but I tried it several months apart and still had issues with a portion of my meal.

This was my second time here. The first time I took 1/2 of my sub home to West Virginia and gave it to my fiance. He had been wanting to try their food but we don’t have one close to us. He said it was the best sub he has ever had ! The one I purchased this time was off their menu board-minus mustard. It has turkey, cheese,mushrooms,lettuce, tomatoes,mayo, and onion on a wheat sub roll. It was delicious. The meat was like melt in your mouth good. Oh and it comes with a dill pickle spear if you like them. Very satisfied

Things were hopping at this Firehouse Subs in Charlottesville, VA today (13 June, 2021) when I stopped by for lunch. Even though this location was offering customers the option to dine-in, I opted to get my order to go and sit in the parking lot simply because of the number of customers that were arriving and the limited number of tables available inside.
I went with my ‘go to’ sammich today, the Italian Sub “fully involved” and add banana peppers, plus an ice cold Coca-Cola and bag of chips. The sub was made perfectly and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. I went with Lays Kettle Cooked Jalapeno Cheddar chips today and they were a pleasant addition to the sub. They’re not hot by any standards, but have a little background flavor of jalapeno behind the predominant cheddar flavor. They are definitely worth a try and I’ll be looking for them again.

Around 230 I stopped in to order a Thanksgiving turkey sub. I ordered a small one. The sandwich was so soggy they must’ve put it in the microwave to long then tried to steam it back to life. There might’ve been a half a slice of deli turkey maybe a tablespoon of stuffing and I did not see any cranberry or mayo I thought I got a slider wasn’t more than 3”. It was disgusting. I should’ve taken it back, but I was already home. I paid eight dollars for that mess I know this sandwich was only a seasonal and if there wasn’t enough of ingredients, they should’ve said something and I would’ve ordered a different sandwich. Needless to say, I threw eight dollars in the trash. I will never go to firehouse subs again.
