This place is such a gem! Excellent food, great customer service and the price is so reasonable. The pad thai is probably the best I’ve ever had, and the fried shrimp was amazing as well. I had a lovely dining experience!

We stopped in for dinner on a Friday evening before 6 pm. We didn’t have a reservation for 2 people but were seated right away. However, it was a full house by 6:30pm, so I recommend reservations if you’re planning ahead. Also, when the place is full, it can be a tad loud as the space is small and tight. We brought a bottle of wine, and the waitress opened our bottle and brought two glass out with our waters and menus. We ordered the papaya salad, tom kah soup, and we shared a whole fish with curry sauce (pla chu chee) and everything was amazing. The fish was a branzino, partially filleted, fried till crispy, mostly boneless, and served atop a decent amount of veggies, but could have used a little more of that delicious curry sauce! The soup was refreshingly tart and lemony. The papaya salad had a nice, fresh crunch and sweet and sour flavor. If you like rice, the portion that comes with the fish is a bit small, so I would order an additonal bowl as a side. Service was very quick and all three of our dishes were brought out together within 15 minutes of ordered. Market price for the fish was $32. Great service, food, atmosphere, and presentation overall. Would love to come back and try other dishes!

Pru Thai offered a great traditional Thai menu. I visited for lunch, enjoying a meal portion of Tom Kah and spring rolls. Both were made to perfection. Service was good.

Really enjoyed our experience at this Thai restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was really nice also. I had vegan Massaman Curry with tofu and a salad. Both were very flavorful. I really enjoyed the sweet and spicy flavor of this massaman. Overall it was great and I’d definitely go back.

Terrible. Back in the day around 2010-2014 this place used to be top rated for me. Over the years as I visited, the quality just kept decreasing but now it’s just awful. Ordered Thai basil fried rice which was soggy and over powered with fish sauce and zero flavor. The pad Thai was a diabetes level sweet mess and the beef in it tasted off. The curry puffs were a decent size but very salty. I was saddened by this meal.

Was in the mood for Thai food so decided to check out Pru Thai. We ordered curry puffs which tasted amazing, chili noodles were super flavorful and didn’t set my mouth on fire. Kanom jeeb was okay, the filling was good but it was a bit hard on the outside. The place itself had a nice vibe. Overall, a good spot if you’re craving Thai food. Would definitely go again to try out other dishes.

My wife and I stopped in while visiting Clinton. It was a beautiful night so we were able to eat outside. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. I had the ginger duck and my wife had Pad Thai. We both enjoyed our meals and would return.

11/16/23 – This was our first visit to Pru Thai. My wife and I both ordered Pad Thai (chicken for her / shrimp for me) which was good. Soup or salad is included with the entrees. There is no on-site parking but we were able to find on-street parking nearby.
