Everything was incredible! The torta was the best I’ve ever had. The poblano soup was the best I’ve ever had. The pepino margarita was phenomenal. Martin was such a thoughtful and wonderful server. I CANNOT wait to go again.

Stopped in last night for some dinner and the atmosphere was really welcoming. Our waitress was really friendly and kind as it was our first time dining in. She explained the concept of the restaurant and recommended to start with the papa brava which was fabulous. We also had the Al Atún and the elotito and they were full of flavor and delicious. She also explained that in the summer they have outdoor seating, so we will definitely be coming back for the delicious food and drinks!

The food was excellent. We had a spinach salad that was done very well. It was very enjoyable without being drenched in dressing. The weight staff were very responsive and attentive. We had the salmon and it was a generous portion and cooked exactly To our request. we found the prices to be quite reasonable, given the size of the servings and the quality of the food. we highly recommend Altiro!

Everything was fantastic! Highly recommend a margarita (or two) – they are so fresh you’ll be looking around the restaurant for a citrus tree! Martin provided great menu recommendations and excellent service. It definitely felt like a tropical escape in the middle of winter. Go and enjoy! You’ll be happy you did!

My first time here. Would I come back? Yes! Everything that came out of the kitchen was well prepared, plated and tasty. I had the ceviche, al alabre tapa and margarita. No complaints.
The only negs are fixable. Upon entering, they have a fragrance like essential oils/spa smell. That’s nice for a massage but not for any eating establishment. Please ditch that. It skews the brain and palate. Service good but a table that came in after me already had drinks served before I even ordered. Secondly, you can ask if it’s my first time here. There was no direction or suggestion on how to eat the dishes.
Atmosphere could be a bit warmer. The globe chandeliers might not be the best in the mostly white space.
The food scored though so just tweak a few details. Thank you!!

Was brought upstairs which is okay with but prefer view of lower level. Unique sitting since chairs don’t match and some more comfy than others but part of their look I am sure. The food was awesome!

It’s 60 degrees in February so decided to take a bike ride for a late lunch. Stopped here and it was amazing. Martin was so kind and made our experience more enjoyable. You will not be disappointed. You have to try this place. P.S. try the spicy margaritas! Yum!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy, colorful, and welcoming. The food is absolutely delicious. We had the elotito and papa brava and they were both amazing, and we could’ve had just more of that and been satisfied. we then ordered the veggie tacos and the carnitas tacos. The veggie tacos were flavorful and colorful, and the carnitas were done well and flavorful as well. The food presentation and the flavors matches 10/10. I will be back and will recommend this to friends and family.

We had an awesome experience here. It was our first time and we wanted to try everything. Our waiter recommended some entrees and they did not disappoint. We shared two appetizers among 3 of us and we had two entrees. The mesh of different flavors is what makes their food delicious. The restaurant was decorated nicely and located in downtown Wheaton. We can’t wait to go back.
