We ordered the shrimp oyster combo. The shrimp needs more spice; use corn meal for the fried oysters. The breading for oysters is doughy.

Delicious seafood for a great price! Got the L3, it fed me, my husband, and our 20 year old godson easily! My liquid mary jane cocktail was to die for and the vibes were great! Great service from our waitress Lluvia!

Captain Crab was honest one of the best seafood restaurants there is in the state of Texas. Speaking from Louisiana standpoint crowd just meet all the necessities required for delicious flavors to explode on your taste sweet. They’re savory garlic butter and their seafood combo number one. Is my all-time favorite. If you ever cross to Lufkin, please don’t hesitate to try it out. It’s worth it and it’s worth every single and I mean every single penny. The atmosphere is nice and peaceful and clean, and the service is topped tier! I don’t normally do reviews, but this deserves every review from every customer that walks in this place.

Captain Crab at 734 South Timberland Drive Lufkin, TX is a fantastic place to get seafood. We had the fried fish which was very good it was moist white and crunchy wow great job and we had crawfish etouffee and it was wonderful very fast service and nice staff we did not have to wait long and it was packed! I am working here in Lufkin for a few months and this will be my go to place for excellent food and service!

Let me start off by saying I don’t know WHERE this place got all these 5 star reviews. We only ate here because of these reviews, drove almost an hour to eat here. The food was absolutely disgusting. THE ONLY thing that was good was the Mexican street corn and my childs chicken tenders looked somewhat decent, by the way they have NO kids menu, paid over $8 for my childs plate. I ordered the crawfish etoufee and he ordered the shrimp scampi and fried oysters, SO gross we couldn’t even finish half of it. Waitress didn’t ask even ONE time how our food was or I would of told them. The food was very bland and tasted funny. The shrimp scampi tasted like pasta water with a hint of heavy cream, no other seasonings. The crawfish etoufee, bland and the crawfish pieces inside were gross. The fried oysters were SO bland and tasted “fishy”. What you see in these pictures is EXACTLY how we left that nasty food. First and last time trying this place. Atmosphere was very clean, service was fast. But the food is not matching any of the other reviews. 05/24/25

This place was delicious and I had a good time with my family. We got a bunch of delicious food. I had crab for the first time and it was a great experience and was very tasty. The sauces were so good and the flavor of everything was delicious. Our waiter was kind and helpful about explaining what our options were.
