The Boot has that classic college bar energy that’s loud, lively, and unapologetically fun. It’s the kind of place where you don’t go for fine dining — you go for good times. The atmosphere felt energetic and a little chaotic in the best way.
I grabbed a burger and a drink, and both were exactly what I expected: simple, satisfying, and perfect for a casual night out. The portions were generous, and everything hit the spot after a long day.
Overall, The Boot is all about the vibe — upbeat, social, and easygoing. A great place to hang out with friends and soak in that fun New Orleans spirit.

Horrible experience. Witnessed a bunch of young college students excessively drinking excessively with the staff going throughthe motion. I understand that a lot of places around here are catered to barely legal individuals but I wonder how many deaths this bar is responsible for because some people on the staff really don’t care. Good luck!

Great drinks and a fantastic atmosphere. Located near Tulane so a good crowd and good music. Bar staff is attentive even when it’s busy. Great place to go at the end of the week.

to be clear, systemically i have first hand experienced the Boot’s RACE PROBLEM, or racism, several times! My experience since 2023: typically when u come while Black the Boot bouncers will just monitor you inside. Tonight, on 10/11, boot bouncers asked for my group for their “college id”, as a further precaution to prevent black and brown entry. this is after showing, seeing that I am 20 and go to college! Lastly, 1/10 rating for their music playlist and dj most importantly. After inside for 20 mins, i’m still not sure why fr, but bouncers kept starting at me, flashing they flashlight in my eyes. so i said I’ll go, yall as i was leaving the bouncer pushed, shoved me and tried to trip & embarrass me which didn’t work. I initially, instinctively turned to to right hook Lunch Patrol, but instead of spraying tactical tummy in the moment like i wanted i tried leaving for the 2nd time. Show me that SAME energy when i see you next time big gut, Big Mac the protector.
just go to the boot if your desperate for a night with friends and racial profile isn’t something you care about— because you will get kicked out like me. breathing while Black, i wouldn’t trade it for the world. But the boot should change their tactics before something happens to their business. ideally the boot will modernize, show equality, and fire their calorie cops!

The boot is everything you’d expect from a college dive bar near Tulane campus. Despite what various authors in the Hullabaloo news room think, I definitely recommend this place for a basic draft beer or well cocktail. Once you’ve had a few of the aforementioned drinks, order a slice of pizza and enjoy the people watching!

Fun college bar, nothing special. Good selection of draft beers and good pizza. Should be packed during the weekend, on Tuesday there wasn’t that many people.

Pizza slices are pretty huge and seemed pre-warmed in a microwave; other than that I was hungry so it was pretty Good. The pizza reminds me of Little Ceasars…Greasy and Chessy.
