Excellent service and food. Love the salsa served with the chips. Fresh and spicy. The ceviche bowl was so good and fresh as well. Worth the price. Mom got the number 15 combo plate.

The staff here are consistent and friendly. This place has been our family favorite Mexican restaurant for over 25 years! Try anything with their ranchera sauce. Get the fajitas! Good prices, huge portions, free fresh hot chips/homemade salsa/bean dip with every visit.

Food and drinks were terrific and flavorful. Only negatives were having to ask for things that should have been expected by the waitstaff (leftover boxes and a bag for those). They were also out of the drink sized to-go jars I wanted. This was a very loud, lively restaurant if you’re ok with that atmosphere. I spent $60 for dinner, but was traveling and treating myself. I would have gone back for breakfast the next morning if I’d had more time!

This is the Mexican restaurant you remember about.

Meat is cooked as if by generational rancheros. Everything put together just the way you wanted and more.

The decor, the friendly staff, the prices. Take your kids so they get the same memories we did growing up going to great places like this. The drink prices remind me of earlier years too. Definitely a place to go for a guaranteed good time.

This place is located in a small strip mall, blink and you’ll miss it. Parking was a little of an issue. I had the enchiladas, my friend had a taco combo. We both enjoyed the meals, the food was good. The service was OK. Our server was not rude, but not really thrilled to be there, is the vibe we got.

Simple decor, friendly service, and food was amazing. Very fresh and flavourful. The bean dip and rice were my favourite. The tacos were crunchy and delicious. The portions are huge too. we even had quesadillas packed to go. My horchata was huge as well and not watered down.

Stopped in based on reviews from Yelp. Service was pretty good, though no one really seemed very happy to be there. When I ordered, the server literally grunted at me. Restaurant is in a strip mall so the ambiance felt a little off but it was set up like a typical mexican restaurant.

I had the beef chimichanga. Very delicious. Lots of guac and sour cream and enchilada sauce. Plenty of beans and rice, which was part of the lunch special. Chips and salsa (and surprisingly…a cup of refried beans for dipping) were good and I specifically asked for mild salsa based on a previous review’s recommendation.

Total cost of the meal, including soft drink was $16 which I thought was reasonable.

I have had lunch here a couple times a month for a couple years. Their lunch special is a buck or 2 off. I especially enjoy their warm bean dip, salsa and chips brought out when you sit down. Nothing overly fancy, just good food at a great price.

Looking for some gourmet Mexican delicacies for dinner tonight?
We used to live on that side of town years ago! When my family found this place, it was difficult to eat anywhere else! My wife makes me go get her burritos from this Playa to this day even though it is at least a hour and a half both ways to get food there! I would say with all confidence that there are at least a hundred other fine Mexican dining establishments that are closer but it is worth the drive every time!
As you can see from looking at part of their menu, you could eat there for a month and not eat the same thing twice! A superb dining experience!
The prices are reasonable for such good food!
