Great Dairy Queen location – so happy to have one nearby!
I recently moved to Cobalt and was thrilled to find out there’s a Dairy Queen just 5 minutes from my house. When I lived in Hartford, the closest one was about 20 minutes away, so this is a big win.
The store is spacious, clean, well organized, and very inviting. We stopped by after a trip to pick up treats for myself, my husband, and our guests. As always, Blizzard treats are a hit and instantly make everyone happy.
If I had one small suggestion to make it perfect, it would be to enjoy the filling throughout the Blizzard, not just at the very end.
We arrived close to closing time for inside pickup (around 9:15 pm, with the lobby closing at 9:30 pm). I initially thought it closed at 10:00 pm based on Google, but that’s actually for the drive-thru. Even so, we were welcomed, treated kindly, and had a great experience.
I’m very happy to have this as our new local Dairy Queen and will definitely be back — and bringing more people with me.

This is a wonderful Dairy Queen. The staff here is terrific.
One of the things that makes this particular Dairy Queen rise above so many of the others is the fact that it is a Grill & Chill, so it is open year ’round.
The facilities are clean and well kept. The food here is done right. I like the chicken strips the best as far as actual food items go. The best treat is the Blizzard. My go-to is the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. but there are lots of other great options. Sometimes I’ll check out the Monthly Blizzard for inspiration…
You can see there is a lot of pride taken in putting out a quality product.

The young people working the counter
are always so pleasant and professional. I’ve been coming here for years. The young lady who helped me with my son’s anniversary ice cream cake was marvelous! They were nice enough to incorporate his wedding colors to an already made cake. I find them a little bit pricey, but in this economy, what isn’t? It’s clean and spacious with outdoor seating and the bathrooms have always been clean. I highly recommend!

The inside of the establishment was VERY CLEAN. Definitely above standard from my perspective. The gentleman Jake was very knowledgeable about the Dairy Queen products. He didn’t get frustrated when I asked about a flavor that wasn’t available until a certain time period. I would use this place as or even Jake as the standard across the board.

Very clean and friendly staff. Food and ice cream was delicious and there is a lot of seating both inside and outside. It was incredibly nice to interact with the cashiers and have them be in a good mood, smiling. I hope management treats them well, as it was such a nice visit!

The lady who took our order was such a nice lady! This DQ is extremely clean! Our food came out decently fast and the Oreo blizzard as always is so yummy. The food itself it’s just normal, nothing special, I mean it’s DQ fast food. But the service here is great and quick.

The food was very well made. And all correct. They did not slip on the sauces like other DQ I’ve been to. The toast I got with my chicken tenders was buttered well. It was incredibly busy and they still managed to get me out pretty quickly. I placed my order ahead of time and I did have to get there attention a couple times but as I mentioned before there were a bunch of baseball/softball teams in there at the time and they managed to take care of everyone in a timely manner.

3/31/25. So I’m actually at the Dairy Queen restaurant right now compliments go out to the young lady working the front counter. She was pleasant, and I had sat down while I was waiting for my food. She actually brought my food to the table for me, which was very kind. Compliments should go to the rest of the staff tonight as well as they made my food and they seem happy serving other people. A restaurant is clean and very modern.
