I’ve been here 2 days in a row now.
Ordered the Halloween roll the first day. It was a good portion for the price. It was good, not great. The asparagus was hardly noticable. It has asparagus but the pieces were hardly noticable. Still a decent roll. Would order again, but would add eel sauce or spicy mayo.
Today I ordered a simple, salmon roll and a miso soup… Miso soup was really good, which is funny because it’s the simplest thing. But it looked nice and cloudy when it came out. Vary appetizing.
The salmon roll was good. I think it could’ve had more avocado. But for under $10, it was fair.
I’ll definitely come back to try more of their specialty rolls.
I also ordered the small sake, both times… It’s really small. You get 3 shots. Wish there was an option for a bigger one.
Service was ok. You seat yourself. You have the option to order from a touch screen, or wait for a menu.
Yesterday when I walked in, I ordered, sat myself, and the server didn’t even acknowledge me for like 10 minutes. It was kind of awkward.
Today I walked in and they also looked at me like, can I help you? After I broke the ice, the girl asked, “for 1?”
One I was seated, she was really nice.
Overall, it’s a great spot for a quick and inexpensive bite of sushi, with a limited, but decent options. I’ll definitely be coming back, and probably often.
Oh, it’s located in a food court with shared bathrooms. It gives authentic Old Town vibes. That’s also a plus.
They have a great location that I’m sure is expensive for rent, but for goodness sakes, use REAL CRAB in your rolls that are primarily crab based. The fake crap really cuts into you being able to cal this “sushi.
Order taker was nice, Groupon was a good deal. The kitchen was super slow despite only 3 customers.
Food was MEH
This was a wonderful “secret” find! Highly recommend you try the Baked Lemon; the flavors are out of this world!
