Al’s Airport Inn is a bar and grill located in Ewing, NJ, that dates all the way back to 1933. Since 1977, the bar has been owned by the same family and continues to welcome patrons from all over the area. Whether they are stopping in after a long day to enjoy our award-winning happy hour menu, to check out the building known for its ghostly history, or simply because they are craving our locally famous “Al’s Wings,” Al’s welcomes a diverse crowd on a daily basis.
Our goals are to always offer customers something new, to keep up with current drink trends, and to offer a comfortable place where everyone can enjoy good drinks, food, and fun.
Jordy Comes Alive
Al’s Airport Inn isn’t trying to be trendy — it doesn’t have to. It’s a classic Jersey dive bar, the kind that’s been around forever and earned every scuff on its bar top. The crowd’s a mix of regulars, airport workers, and locals who know exactly what’s up. Service is usually solid, depending on how packed it gets — but even when they’re slammed, the staff keeps it friendly and fast enough to make you stay for another round.
They’ll tell you their chicken wings have won awards, and honestly, they’re not lying. These things are spectacular — crispy skin, juicy inside, perfectly sauced. But the real gem of Al’s isn’t just the wings. It’s what they’re coated in: Al’s Secret Sauce.
It’s hard to pin down what’s in it — maybe garlic, maybe some tangy magic that doesn’t exist anywhere else. Whatever it is, it’s the kind of sauce that makes you want to dip everything in it. Luckily, you can — they’ll drizzle it on a pork roll and cheese sandwich, burgers, or anything you ask for. It’s the kind of flavor that deserves to be bottled and sold nationwide.
Al’s might be tucked next to a small airport, but the place soars. It’s old-school, unpretentious, and always worth the 20-minute drive — if not for the wings, then for that mysterious, addictive sauce that makes you believe in barroom magic.

We went to Al’s tonight and had a wonderful experience! We ordered the chili nachos, cheesesteak tacos, and a turkey club with pork roll — everything was delicious. The Texas toast was a great touch, and the Old Bay fries with cheese were the perfect comfort food.
Jessica, the live musician, was one of the best we’ve heard here — truly talented and set a great vibe for the night. Bella, our waitress, was an absolute gem: friendly, quick, and gave great recommendations.
We love coming to Al’s — the food is always solid, the service is excellent, and we really appreciate their Teacher Tuesdays and the recognition they give to educators.
We’ll definitely keep coming back. Thank you, Bella!

As someone who lives right down the road and typically orders takeout occasionally from Al’s, I wanted to dine-in for a change. It was quite busy with live music and a solid atmosphere. I ordered take-out but seconds afterwards I asked if I could dine in as someone left the bar… this later led to odd happenings with the waiter bringing out a side of fried onions (which I requested on the cheesesteak) and left it at the bar 15 minutes before my food arrived. About 30 minutes in total waiting to receive my food to which they brought out in a to-go container. Before closing out I requested a water from the bartender, but ultimately ended up leaving without receiving it after waiting patiently for 5-10 minutes and then assisting others with more complex cocktails.
Food was good despite the onions being cold by the time the rest of the food arrived. I like the cozy atmosphere and would be willing to check it out during football season. It was definitely busy and I don’t know if this is the usual experience, but attention detail and customer service from the employees could use a slight improvement.

Located in an old house at the end of the runway of Trenton airport sits this gem of a dive bar! Great vibe, great people, great service, good beer, and tasty food! What more could you ask for. The signature wings were great. Fried to perfection with a sweet hot sauce! The corn bites were great as well, although a dipping sauce from like street corn may take it to another level! They serve it with sour cream. Great thick burgers and tasty porkroll! Good pub grub menu. They don’t have draft beer, but a good selection of bottles and cans. Fun, friendly bartenders!

Great little spot! Wings and burgers and everything else I’ve had are some of the best bar eats in the area. The service is always prompt and everyone is very friendly. Sometimes it can get loud with the live music, but it’s usually on point and worth it if even if a little volume bothers you. Highly recommend!

Al’s was just what I needed to unwind after a busy day of appointments. The atmosphere was vibrant and exciting with live music. The food is good too. I had the chicken sandwich, which was big and tasty. My friend tried the quesadilla and it was delicious as well. Al’s offers daily specials which is an added bonus for variety. If you’re looking for a casual spot for a bite of food and a drink, definitely check out Al’s.

DON’T go to this place I ended up in tears. I can’t even believe the experience I had last night with one of the rude staff members. I’m so glad nobody else came bc it was awful and at the end I started crying lol but it was justified, okay so it’s my second time ever at a bar (JUST turned 21, yay!) and I told our nice server that and she made me a special drink yadda yadda, at the end when it was time to close our tab I closed my tab and said she could keep the rest of the change but she insisted on giving me my change, so when she walked away I went up to another bar worker and gave him $5 and asked him to give it to my waitress bc I just felt too bad not giving her anything, and when my friend closed out her tab she payed exact change and didn’t tip but that’s HER, right after I did that I went to the bathroom and went back to the table where my boyfriend was at and he goes “did you tip her? bc she just came over to our table absolutely yelling at us” and I lost it because what? are you serious? I have anxiety, the only reason I was there was because my friends wanted to show me a good time because I just turned 21, and now I’m too afraid to return to this bar. I can’t even believe that happened. I DID TIP YOU?? EVEN IF IT WASNT DIRECTLY?? I wonder if she even knew I DID do that before she yelled at our entire table.. very greedy rude people.

Environment was great, the staff were very welcoming and were quick. Food was amazing, I had the fish tacos. We also had appetizers and desserts and two people had a few drinks which raised the price, the meals themselves were pretty good price.

This place is a must-see. Parking is a pain, but walking through the door is a perfect bar and grill with great food and good service. Hamburger and Cuban sandwich are on point. Wings and fried shrimp were delicious. This is a really fun bar in a non-descript location. Reservations recommended for parties more than 2.
