The food was phenomenal. Each dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The sushi was incredibly fresh, the hot dishes were perfectly seasoned, and the flavors were bold yet balanced. The drinks and specialty cocktails were also expertly crafted.

We found out while ordering that they were known for their fried chicken, so we ordered the half chicken. My family thought it was the best fried chicken they’d ever had. I thought the pork belly i got in my bowl was some of the best I’d ever eaten. The bowl was well portioned and the sauce and vegetable selection paired well together. We would eat here again.

Can’t speak highly enough about Origami. Fresh local ingredients, friendly knowledgeable staff, and excellent food. I love the fried chicken (be careful with the hot sauce), but there is nothing like ramen on a cold day. If it’s hot out? Just get the rice bowl instead. They also have a killer bành mi. Really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. It is pricey and parking is a challenge but it’s worth it.

I’ve been coming here off and on for +/- 5 years. Incredibly delicious, fresh and consistent flavors, vibrant neighborhood atmosphere, happy, kind, knowledgeable staff. I love the cold somen noodle salad but the Ramen and rice bowls vary according to local availability. Warmest, most belly-filling, best tasting food in Sacramento. A gem and a staple in East Sac. Go. Love the decorations and vibe of the place, especially the cozy couch and books while you wait. The food is soooo good. I had the rice bowl with gluten free fried chicken and onion sauce (also gluten free) and seasonal vegetables. Good portions and so dang good!

Food was so fresh and with very lovely flavors. We got Poke bowl and Ramen, both were perfect. The restaurant is quite large, modern look, two spacious patios, even and lounge area with sofa. Staff was super friendly and helpful. They have a system of ordering at the counter before sitting down at the table which seemed little unusual and I can imagine the line for ordering can be long in busy times. It was not an issue when we came with only two other customer tables.

Place your order and pay for it at the counter, take a seat, and a very tasty bowl of rice or ramen with a separately priced addition of meat or vegetables is brought to your indoor or outdoor table. The ramen broth was excellent! Photos are tri-tip with rice and ramen with grilled chicken. They are proud about their fried chicken. Maybe next time

Just found this place while visiting Sacramento. This is a great family friendly place with a relaxed atmosphere. It family owned and I met Scott, one of the owners. I had one of their rice bowl which was excellent. I chose having all the vegetable options and the pork belly which was crispy on the outside but tender and juicy on the inside. Dar my sister order the chicken sandwich which she liked a lot and was a large portion as well as my rice bowl. I will definitely come back for more. There is a small parking lot in back or you can park on the street. Highly recommended for the food and service.

Holy cow awesome, I loved this place. A friend from the gym recommended it today and I thought I’d check it out, surprise surprise when I see him here the same day he told me about.
The menu is very simple which I love. When a restaurant keeps the menu small you know it’s because they are putting all their focus on those dishes. This is not the Cheesecake Factory lol.
Sit at the bar if you can, this was my first time here and the manager and staff are very personable and friendly, and I really felt like I made new friends over a simple but flavorful post gym dinner.
Will definitely be back soon and often, cannot recommend this place enough. I almost feel like I should have left a bad review so I can increase my chances of getting a seat every time I come but that would not be the true representation of my experience.
