I love the ambience in this place! My friend and I ordered vegetarian. The samosa, soup, and veg combo were all really flavourful and cosy (uhmm uhmm thanks to oil). Also recommend having dooogh, which is a yoghurt drink with dried mint leaves. I am from Rajasthan and weirdly some of the flavours in the Afgan food tasted exactly like what we make at home (maybe its the desert effect).

We enjoyed our experience at this location of Afghan Kabob House! The food was tasty and a large portion size. The server was super nice. And we enjoyed the live jazz on Friday evening – it brought back memories of Fellini’s! We will definitely be back to check out the lunch buffet.

Everything about Afghan Kebob House is amazing! The service was great and the staff is so kind! The food is incredible, some of the best middle eastern food we have had. We got the appetizer sampler, kebab combo #3, and the shrimp kebab. Highly recommend!

My partner and I tried Afghan Kabob’s new location on W. Market and had a fabulous meal! Menu selection slightly different than other location, which is nice for variety. The food was phenomenal and service was fast and friendly. We’ll definitely be back!

The most delicious food is waiting for you at Afghan Kabob on Market. Find yourself emerged in choices of singular, rich dishes—an incredible variety of meats, vegetables, and spices—dumplings, naan, rice, baklava. Perfect for meat lovers and vegetarians alike. Tonight I ordered the aushak—boiled dumplings with leek and meat sauce, and borani badenjan (an eggplant dish) as an appetizer. Completely scrumptious. I ate until I couldn’t stand another bite. Lovely atmosphere—warm, intimate, great lighting. Bonus: Tonight (Friday) featured a jazz band, The Bob Bennett Trio. A perfect date night.

We are from Richmond and yesterday, Saturday my husband want to see the new Frankenstein movie 2025. Before we stop to eat, we decided to try the new food from Afghanistan. So if you want a quiet place, not to busy, go here. Relax atmosphere, niceeee music and authentic food. My husband ordered appetizes : my favorite was the EGGPLANTS(1 photo) with yougurt on the top, the BEST I ever eate (I am romanian, I am cooking home). My husband likes the dumplings, litlle spicey(2 photo). I ordered Lamb kebab (3 photo), I liked it, and the rice was diffrent, longer and thinner but delicious. Thank you again for the delicious and tasty food. We will go back to try the LAMB CHAPS. Iuliana

We had the dinner combo for two. It was so delicious and so much food. Dessert was incredible as well. Very unassuming front, I have walked past this place many times and not realised! I will be coming back.

DELICIOUS, in a word! The chicken kabob was very flavorful, and the vegetable side was unreal, kadn I believe. Hubs enjoyed his kofta and chickpeas as well. Our only critique is the rice was quite salty, otherwise everything was spot on.

Everything about this experience was stellar. We got the dinner for two and the food was so so good – better than at the original location – and such big portions! Such a nice mix of flavors and textures, meat perfectly cooked. We went on a Friday and there was live jazz! Such a nice accompaniment to the quiet and calm atmosphere, which feels rare downtown. Prices are reasonable too. Highly recommend!!
