OUR STORY – KEN’S SUSHI
Reviews
The omakase was outstanding. Nearly every piece of fish was flown in from Japan , and you can feel the care, precision, and respect for the ingredients in every bite.
Huge thank you to Ken and his family for continuing, year after year, to share such an authentic Japanese dining experience here in the U.S. What they do goes far beyond food, it’s culture, tradition, and heart.
The space feels even more welcoming after the renovation, and it still carries the same warmth and familiarity longtime customers love. And the fish quality here, is 10/10.
You won’t believe yourself this is in Rancho.
Specially with the new remodel.
Feels like they copy and paste a restaurant from Japan to here.
It’s really special to see them back in this location, continuing the legacy they started in 1989. If you’re looking for a place that feels genuine and timeless, this is it.
Parking ️ is very easy, they have plenty parking spaces available on the back of the restaurant.

Have to try their Omakase if you haven’t yet.
My girlfriend surprised me and brought me here for my birthday. She told me they had just reopened after remodeling, and since we both love sushi, she thought it’d be a good spot. I’ll be honest, from the outside it didn’t really scream sushi restaurant… but man, was I wrong. Definitely a “don’t judge a book by its cover” moment. This is hands down my new favorite sushi spot.
Everything was on point once you get inside. If I could give it a rating, it’d be 10 stars across the board. I don’t know what it looked like before the remodel, but inside it felt welcoming, and just feels right.
We went with the omakase, and the food was unreal. The fish was incredibly fresh, both in how it looked and how it tasted. Each piece you could taste the freshness, and you could really taste the quality and the flavor combinations. Everything was just really well done.
I usually talk about service first, but it deserves its own shoutout. Leo is amazing. You can tell he truly loves what he does. The way he explains each dish, his presentation, and how welcoming he is really made the whole experience. Even though it was our first time there, it honestly felt like home. You can tell by how he interacts with the regulars that this place has something special.
It’s definitely on the higher end price-wise, but it’s 100% worth it. Quality over quantity, no question. We’ll for sure be coming back. Oh, and if you got on the weekend, make sure you make a reservation. Check this place out, you won’t regret it. I can’t recommend this place enough.
I moved to the Inland Empire a couple of years ago and I’ve read many good reviews of Ken’s Japanese Restaurant on Google and Yelp. I decided to give this restaurant a try and it truly lives up to the hype.
I chose OMAKASE (Chef’s choice course), and it was amazing! It was the best Japanese meal that I’ve ever had so far.
What I love about this restaurant:
– Fresh ingredients: I can taste the freshness of all the seafood dishes I had.
– Great hospitality: the moment I stepped in the restaurant, I was greeted by the great waiters. The chef also came out to ask me about the Chef’s choice course and explained what those are.
– The experience: the restaurant and its ambiance remind me of those authentic Japanese restaurants I visited in Japan.
I love this restaurant and I will definitely come back!
PS: Thank you, Victor! Your hospitality and great personality have made my dinner an amazing experience.
I’ve been coming here with my family for the last couple of years, and we are always greeted warmly by the owners and their employees.
They have the best quality fish, fresh and exquisite! The servers are friendly and attentive, as well as the owners of the restaurant, they ensure you have an amazing dinner. They always greet you with a smile!
They serve a variety of sashimi/sushi options from bluefin toro, salmon, yellowtail, tuna, uni and more! Their rolls are delicious! I’ve had their Godzilla roll, caterpillar roll, crunchy roll, firecracker roll, California roll, and rainbow roll, and I have yet to try the rest. The chicken teriyaki is so tender and the yaki udon is good. They serve baked green mussels with sirachi sauce and it’s so delicious! They serve the best quality food.
Dine in is available upon making a reservation. Book ahead of time.
The place looks pretty old, probably why they’re renovating. We called to get seats.
