We came here for a late dinner. The restaurant was rather full. A table was quickly prepared for us. I was pleasantly surprised to find Kao Soi on the menu and promptly ordered it. Each of us also had a soup as a starter. Both soups were very good – the Tom Yam Kung as well as the Wantan soup. Each of us had duck as the protein with our main dish. It was crispy and fresh.
I liked the food. It was certainly good Thai food, the spicyness dialed down to western taste.
Service was friendly and quick. I would come here again.

Had an amazing time there. The food was really good. The amount of food is enough for two sometimes and the service was very polite. They also offer drinks, alcoholic and otherwise.
We called ahead and reserved a table , the place wasn’t crowded and the seats had comfortable blankets for sitting outside.
We ordered several dishes , the fried turkey tasted especially good while the red curry paste sauce was delicious. The coconut chicken soup is worth a try.
Would definitely recommend.

Their menu is very similar to Sri Thai restaurant (also located in Kiel). The difference is that for the Sri Thai lunch set, they do not have a free soup while here in Lanna Thai, you get a free soup with the set lunch ordered. Service is good too and the place is tastefully decorated. Would go back again to try their other lunch sets

Ate the Baked Wantan, Shrimp Tempura and Tom Kha with Shrimp Soup at Lanna Thai via delivery service. The shrimp are good quality, but the whole meal lacks depth. Limp, thin and uninspiring. Not recommended.
