You mainly paying for fancy location and atmosphere. Design of restaurant is great.
Quality of food for the price needs to be improved.
The prices are very high, even for this area of Rock Hill. But what I was most disappointed by were the cocktails. They are very strict about ANY modifications (this is mentioned on the online menu). If you want tequila, for example, you are stuck with a specific drink for each tequila brand. For example, if I want to upgrade a lime margarita with Patron Silver, I cannot do that. I have to order their Cadillac Margarita, that includes all kids of additions that do not belong in a traditional margarita.
We will be back occasionally, but there are better options closer to Charlotte.
I ordered the Burrito Grill with steak and took half of it home. I only wish that sour cream was in it. I likely could have ordered some but didn’t want to wait another minute to dig into it. I took my usual sides of refried beans and Mexican rice, both were great!
The prices were just a little high but the atmosphere was much better than most Mexican restaurants.
We had eight people at our table with only one mixup with an order which they promptly took care of.
We were celebrating a birthday and they provided a birthday treat for the birthday boy.
I can’t wait to go back and try several other items on their extensive menu. Sorry, I don’t have any pictures of the food that we ordered.
Additionally, the complementary salsa is so fresh tasting and yummy? Some of the best complementary salsa I’ve ever had. If you get the chance, it’s definitely worth checking this place out!
Margs were legit. I enjoyed a raspberry marg with casamigos. Our party also had cucumber and traditional lime. All of our beverages were on point.
Service was outstanding. We had friendly wait staff and the food was to the table in less than 5 minutes.
Restaurant was clean and decorated for valentines day.
My areas for improvement:
Food wasn’t bad, but wasn’t great either. In the local area of competitors, I’d say this was my near the bottom.
My tamale was cold in the center and the corn breading was mushy. I also had just a standard gringo taco. The meat wasn’t seasoned or seasoned appropriately. The shredded cheese never melted, again probably because it wasn’t warmed properly. Others in our party had the Birria and fajitas. Both of those plates were enjoyed by our crew. Overall food wasn’t what I had expected given the price point of this restaurant.
As for price, your choose of two with two sides was 15.99. The margaritas were $14 for a small. Generally speaking this is one of the most expensive restaurants in its class.
I may give it another try, but this trip was underwhelming.
